Ustedes pueden preguntarse por qué los liberados (Jnanis) tienen que seguir haciendo Karma (acción). Bien, la gente por lo general sigue el ideal establecido por aquellos que están en niveles superiores. Sus actos forman la base de la Conducta Correcta (Dharma). Si los Jnanis estuvieran inactivos, ¿cómo podrían salvarse los mortales comunes? No tendrían guía alguna, y se perderían en los fáciles caminos de los placeres sensoriales. Es deber de los sabios cuidar la rectitud y practicarla ante los demás, para que ellos también se vean incitados a seguirla, atraídos por la esperanza de llegar a estar tan contentos y alegres como los jnanis. Los sabios tienen que hacer y ver que se haga; ver y demostrar, para que los demás puedan persuadirse de seguir el ejemplo que ellos dan. El sol y la luna llevan a cabo sus tareas de rutina, el viento y el fuego tienen que cumplir con sus deberes sin protestar. Luego, cada uno debe llevar a cabo su tarea sin falta y con cuidado.

You may wonder why liberated ones (Jnanis) should still doKarma (action). Well, people usually follow the ideal set by those in higher levels. Their acts form the basis of Right Conduct (Dharma). If Jnanis are inactive, how are ordinary mortals to save themselves? They will have no guide and will lose themselves in the easy paths of sensory pleasures. The duty of the wise is to foster the right and practice it before others, so that they too may be prompted to follow, drawn by the hope of becoming as contented and as joyful as the jnanis. The wise have to do and get done, see and show, so that the rest might be persuaded to follow the example set by them. The sun and the moon carry on their routine tasks; wind and fire have to perform their duties without demur. Hence, each one should perform one’s task w ithout fail and with care.
