MENSAJE DEL DIA 31 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM El dharma práctico, osea las reglas de buena conducta (achara-dharma), se refieren a asuntos temporarios relacionados con nuestros problemas o necesidades físicas, y nuestras relaciones pasajeras con el mundo objetivo. El instrumento mismo de esas reglas, el cuerpo humano, no es permanente, por eso, ¿cómo pueden esas reglas ser eternas? ¿Cómo es que pueden ser verdaderas en esencia? Lo Eterno no puede ser explicado por medio de lo efímero; la luz no puede ser revelada por medio de la oscuridad. Lo Eterno emerge sólo de lo Eterno; la verdad emana sólo de la verdad. Por lo tanto, ustedes deben seguir los códigos objetivos del dharma en relación a las actividades mundanas y la vida diaria, con pleno conocimiento y conciencia del Atma-dharma interior básico. Recién entonces las necesidades internas y externas podrán cooperar y brindar la dicha del progreso armónico. Si en sus ocupaciones diarias, traducen los valores reales del dharma eterno en actos llenos de amor, su deber para con la realidad interior, el Atma-dharma, también se hace realidad. Siempre construyan sus vidas sobre la base Atmica. Así está asegurado su progreso espiritual. (Dharma Vahini, Cap.2) Practical dharma, or rules of good behaviour (achara-dharma), relates to temporary matters concerning our problems and physical needs, to our passing relationships with the objective world. The very instrument of those rules, the human body, is not permanent, so how can then these rules be eternal? How can their nature be true? The Eternal cannot be expressed by the evanescent; light cannot be revealed from darkness. The Eternal emerges only from the Eternal; truth emanates only from truth. Therefore, follow the objective codes of dharma relating to worldly activities and daily life, with the full knowledge and consciousness of the inner basic Atma-dharma. Then only can the internal and external urges cooperate and yield the bliss of harmonious progress. If in your daily avocations, you translate the real values of eternal dharma into love-filled acts, then your duty to the inner reality, the Atma-dharma, is also fulfilled. Always build your living on the Atmic base; then, your spiritual progress is assured. MENSAJE DEL DIA 30 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Cuando no distinguen entre el proceso y el objetivo de cada acto y siguen realizándolos sin entender, los reducen a una extraña rutina fosilizada. Cierta vez hasta Prahlada observó: “Ya que es difícil destruir el egoísmo, la gente adopta la opción más fácil de ofrecer animales en el altar. El sacrificio de un animal es la manifestación de esa inercia (tamo guna); es el camino de la esclavitud. El sacrificio del animal del egoísmo es el sacrificio más puro (satwic yajna) en el camino de liberación hacia Dios.” ¡De esta manera, la meta más alta (paramaartha) del pasado se convierte en un objetivo trivial (paaramaartha) de la actualidad! Del mismo modo, cada una de las prácticas antiguas, que alguna vez estuvieron llenas de significado, se ha descontrolado hasta hacerse irreconocible. Ahora es imposible arrancar el árbol de raíz y plantar uno nuevo. Por lo tanto hay que podar el árbol vivo y guiarlo para que crezca derecho. Siempre tengan presente la meta más elevada y nunca permitan que se pierda hasta convertirse en la más baja. (Dharma Vahini, Cap.1) When you do not discriminate the process and purpose of every act, and go ahead doing thwith no understanding, you reduce them to a funny fossilized routine. Once even Prahlada observed, “Since it is difficult to destroy egotism, people take the easier option to offer dumb animals at the altar. Animal sacrifice is the manifestation of the quality of inertia (tamo guna); it is the path of bondage. Sacrifice of the animal of egotism is the purest sacrifice (satwic yajna) on the Godward path of liberation.” Thus the highest goal (paramaartha) of the past is turned into the fool’s goal (paaramaartha) of these days! Similarly every one of the ancient practices, which were once full of meaning has grown wild beyond recognition. It is now impossible to pluck the tree by the roots and plant a new one. So the existing tree must be trimmed and trained to grow straight. Always remember the highest goal and never dilute it into the lowest. MENSAJE DEL DIA 29 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM La verdad (Sathya) sostiene el cosmos; la virtud (Dharma) protege y promueve la paz de la humanidad. Todas las actividades deben estar imbuidas de los ideales de Sathya y Dharma. El Dharma nunca declina; sólo decae su práctica. Por eso tienen lugar las reencarnaciones divinas, para restituir la fe en el Dharma, para revitalizar su práctica y demostrar que la misma trae paz, gozo y prosperidad. Si se ignora el Dharma, equivale a un sacrilegio, porque el Dharma es Dios y Dios es Rectitud (Dharma). La gente ve a Dios en un cuadro, un ícono, o una estatuilla de yeso pero Dios realmente se manifiesta más en un acto recto (Dharma). Pueden gastar sumas enormes en peregrinajes, y para rituales y ceremonias pero eso no los acercará más a Dios. ¿Qué ganancia pueden tener en el campo espiritual, si adoran a Dios y al mismo tiempo insultan y hieren a sus semejantes? (Discurso Divino, 21 de junio de 1979) Truth (Satya) sustains the cosmos, virtue (Dharma) protects and promotes the peace of mankind. All activities must be infused with the ideals of Satya and Dharma. Dharma never suffers decline; only its practice declines. So divine incarnations take place to restore faith in Dharma, to revitalise its practice and to demonstrate that the practice of Dharma confers peace, joy and prosperity. If Dharma is ignored, it amounts to sacrilege, for Dharma is God and God is Righteousness (Dharma). People see God in a picture, an icon, or a plaster of Paris figurine but God really is most manifest in a righteous action (Dharma). One may spend enormous sums for pilgrimages and for rituals and ceremonies but that will not take them anywhere nearer to God. What profit can one earn in the spiritual field, if they adore God and at the same time, insult and injure their fellowmen? MENSAJE DEL DIA 28 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Cuando comen una banana, primero tienen que sacarle la cáscara; lo mismo con otras frutas, ya sea un mango o una naranja. Deben llegar a la pulpa dulce después de sacar la cáscara amarga. Para que el Emperador Bali fuera recibido y aceptado por Dios, la cobertura amarga de egoísmo y obsesión de poder tenía que ser sacada. La ignorancia, maya (engaño), ilusión, orgullo, etc. son los componentes de la cáscara. El festival de Onam llega y pasa pero ustedes no están de ningún modo más cerca de Dios. Esto es porque mientras que Onam es totalmente bienvenido y disfrutado, la generosidad, el renunciamiento, el amor y el espíritu de servicio no reciben una bienvenida tan cordial. Tomen esto como el Mensaje de Onam – hagan el esfuerzo de manifestar, cultivar y expresar Amor, suprimiendo el orgullo y el egoísmo, para poder ganar la Gracia de Dios. The sweet substance has to be reached after removal of the bitter skin. For Emperor Bali to be received and accepted by God, the bitter cover of egoism and power-mania had to be removed. MENSAJE DEL DIA 27 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Los Gurus (preceptores) del pasado enseñaban sólo a partir de la experiencia; amaban a sus discípulos y buscaban corregir sus errores y fracasos, y así es como éstos llevaban una vida feliz y útil. Cuando finalmente dejaban la casa del Gurú, éste los exhortaba a seguir dos reglas (Sutras) tan esenciales para la vida como sus dos ojos (netras): hablen con la verdad y caminen por el sendero de la rectitud. El Gurú tenía fe que el discípulo (shishya) tomaría el consejo en serio, ya que él mismo era la prueba viviente de su valor y validez. El Gurú siempre tiene mucho cuidado de arrancar del corazón de su alumno las malezas de los malos hábitos y tendencias y plantar allí las semillas del amor. Insiste en la práctica de la disciplina espiritual (sadhana) para purificar las mentes de sus discípulos y volverlos suficientemente fuertes para vencer las tentaciones de todo tipo. La virtud y el carácter por sí solos definen a la persona verdaderamente educada. Discurso Divino, 21 de junio de 1979 The Gurus (preceptors) of the past taught only from experience; they loved their pupils and sought to correct their faults and failings, that is how their students lead happy and useful lives. When the pupils finally left the Guru’s home, he exhorted them to follow two guidelines (Sutras) which were as essential for life as the two eyes (netras) - Speak the truth; Walk on the path of righteousness. The Guru had the faith that the pupil (shishya) would take the advice to heart, for he himself was the living proof of their value and validity. Con mente observadora, ustedes pueden aprender muchas lecciones de los ríos y las colinas, de los pájaros y las bestias, de las estrellas y las flores, y de los árboles. Los árboles ofrecen fresca sombra a todos quienes la buscan; a nadie la niegan en razón de casta, credo ni color. A todos ofrecen sus frutos, sin tener en cuenta el estatus social o económico. La prosperidad es bienvenida, pero con eso no alcanza. La prosperidad sin la voluntad de compartirla, sólo generará miedo y ansiedad. La naturaleza humana es una amalgama de características animales, humanas y divinas. El amor, la compasión, la humildad y la caridad son características divinas. MENSAJE DEL DIA 25 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Algunos de ustedes pueden pensar: «¿Cómo puede el Dharma, que impone límites a los pensamientos y palabras, y también regula y controla, hacer libre a una persona?» Libertad es el nombre que ustedes dan a cierto tipo de esclavitud. La auténtica libertad sólo se obtiene cuando la ilusión está ausente, cuando no hay identificación con el cuerpo ni con los sentidos, ni hay una relación de servidumbre con el mundo objetivo. Son muy escasas las personas que han escapado a esta servidumbre y logrado la libertad en el verdadero sentido. La esclavitud reside en cada acto efectuado teniendo conciencia del cuerpo como el Yo Mismo, porque entonces son ustedes juguetes de los sentidos. Sólo son libres aquellos que han escapado a este destino; esta libertad es la etapa ideal, a la cual el Dharma conduce. Si ustedes tienen siempre en mente esta etapa mientras se dedican a la actividad de vivir, llegarán en esta vida misma a ser personas liberadas (mukta-purusha). (Dharma Vahini, Capítulo 2) Some of you may think, “How can Dharma, which sets limits on thoughts and words, and regulates and controls, make a person free?” Freedom is the name that you give to a certain type of bondage. Genuine freedom is obtained only when delusion is absent, when there is no identification with the body and senses, and no servitude to the objective world. People who have escaped from this servitude and achieved freedom in the genuine sense are very few in number. Bondage lies in every act done with the consciousness of the body as the Self, for one is then the plaything of the senses. Only those who have escaped this fate are free; this ‘freedom’ is the ideal stage to which Dharma leads. With this stage constantly in mind, if you are engaged in the activity of living, then you will become a liberated person (mukta-purusha) in this very life. No me preocupa si se van, porque no estoy ansioso de que haya aquí una gran concurrencia, ¿Quién les dio invitaciones escritas a cada uno de los presentes? La gente viene por su cuenta, de a miles: ¡son ustedes quienes se apegan a Mí! Yo estoy desapegado. Estoy apegado sólo a la tarea. Pero pueden estar seguros de una cosa: vengan a Mí o no, todos ustedes están en Mí. Tengo el amor de mil madres. Amo a cada uno de ustedes, y los protejo siempre. Toda vez que parezco estar enojado, se trata sólo del amor bajo otra apariencia. No hay en Mí el menor asomo de ira. Expreso mi decepción, cuando no se reforman como Yo lo espero. MENSAJE DEL DIA 23 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Se dice que cuando se visita un templo del Señor Shiva, nadie debe pasar entre el toro (Nandi) y el Lingam, es decir entre el Jiva (alma individual) y el Señor Shiva; esto es porque ambos deben fundirse en uno solo. Dicen que Shiva debe ser visto a través de los cuernos de Nandi. Cuando se les pregunta por la razón de este procedimiento, la gente responde: «Bien, este modo de ver el Lingam es más sagrado que otros». Pero el significado profundo es: «Deben ver al Shiva que hay en el Jiva». Pasu (el animal) y Pasupathi (el Señor de todos los seres) son uno solo: Nandi e Iswara se hacen Nandiswara. Cuando hay esclavitud, se trata de Nandi; cuando el esclavo se vuelve libre, es Iswara: ¡Nandiswara! Esta unión es digna de ser honrada. Cuando Pasu es ofrecido a Pasupathi, y su identidad separada es desechada, hay un auténtico Yajna (sacrificio). Hoy estos actos simbólicos han cambiado hasta ser irreconocibles. Hay una gran distancia entre las prácticas de hoy y los principios de ayer. El detalle más ínfimo de la vida secular debe estar inspirado por el elevado ideal de la plenitud espiritual. (Dharma Vahini, Capítulo 1) When visiting a temple of Lord Shiva, none should pass between the bull (Nandi) and the Lingam - the Jiva (individual soul) and Lord Shiva, it is said; for they are to merge into one. Shiva must be seen through the two horns of Nandi, they say. When asked the reason for this procedure people reply, "Well, it is holier than other methods of viewing the Lingam". But the inner meaning is, ‘You must see the Shiva in Jiva’ - Pasu (animal) and Pasupathi (Lord of all beings) are one: Nandi and Iswara become Nandiswara. When in bondage, it is Nandi; when the bound becomes free, it is Iswara - Nandiswara! This Union is entitled to be honoured. When Pasu is offered to the Pasupathi, and its separate identity is cast away, it is true Yajna (sacrifice). Today, these symbolic acts have changed beyond recognition. The practices of today and the principles of yesterday are far apart – the smallest detail of secular life must be inspired by the higher ideal of spiritual fulfillment. MENSAJE DEL DIA 22 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Paso a paso, ustedes alcanzan el final del camino. Un acto seguido de otro, conducen a un buen hábito. Escuchando repetidamente, ustedes resultan incitados a la acción. Decídanse a actuar, a relacionarse sólo con buenas compañías, a leer sólo libros inspiradores, y a formar el hábito de recordar el nombre del Señor (Namasmarana). Entonces la ignorancia se desvanecerá automáticamente. La Bienaventuranza Divina que surgirá en ustedes con la contemplación de la Ananda Swarupa (Bienaventuranza Personificada) expulsará toda pena y toda preocupación. Cultiven la dicha y la alegría; así se desvanecerán los malos impulsos, al no tener ningún asidero en el corazón. Avancen hacia la luz, y la sombra caerá detrás de ustedes; si se alejan de la luz tendrán que seguir a su propia sombra. Acérquense al Señor dando un paso a cada momento; así la sombra de Maya (la ilusión) caerá detrás y ya no los engañará en absoluto. Sean constantes y sean resueltos. (Discurso Divino, 11 de febrero de 1964) Step by step, you reach the end of the road. One act followed by another leads to a good habit. Listening, over and over you get prodded into action. Resolve to act, to engage only with good company, to read only elevating books, and to form the habit of remembering the Lord’s Name (Namasmarana), then ignorance will vanish automatically. The Divine Bliss that will well up within you with the contemplation of the Ananda Swarupa (Bliss Personified) will drive out all grief and all worry. Develop bliss and joy, then evil impulses and tendencies will vanish, for they will not get any foothold in the heart. Move forward towards the Light and the shadow falls behind; you move away from it and you have to follow your own shadow. Go every moment one step nearer to the Lord, and then the shadow maya (illusion) will fall back and will not delude you at all. Be steady, be resolved. Así como las gotas de lluvia provenientes del claro cielo azul resultan coloreadas y contaminadas cuando caen al suelo, el mensaje inmaculado de los antiguos rishis, el ejemplo de sus brillantes hechos y los puros impulsos tras sus acciones, son todos convertidos en feas caricaturas de la grandeza original, por intérpretes y eruditos sin cultura. Por lo tanto, cada uno de ustedes debe familiarizarse con los rasgos del Dharma expuestos en los Vedas, Sastras y Puranas. (Dharma Vahini, Capítulo 1) Beautiful fields and groves run wild with neglect and soon become unrecognizable bushland and thorny jungle; fine trees are hewn by greedy men and the shape of the landscape is changed. With the passage of time, people get accustomed to the new state of things. This has happened to Dharma also. Misunderstood by incompetent intelligence, unbridled emotion and impure reasoning, the scriptures have been grossly diluted and their glory has suffered grievously. Cada acto desinteresado que prepara el terreno para la fusión del Alma con el Alma Superior, que ensancha la visión de la Divinidad, inmanente en todas partes, es un acto recto. Nuestros antepasados jamás desperdiciaban ni un minuto. Consideraban a Dios como la encarnación del tiempo y lo alababan de esta manera: Kalaya Namah, Kala Kalaaya Namah, Kalaateetaya Namah, Kalaniyamitaya Namah (Saludo a la Encarnación del Tiempo, al Uno que Conquistó al Tiempo, al Uno que Trasciende al Tiempo, al Uno que Ordena el Tiempo). ¿Por qué han olvidado la verdad que dice que el tiempo ciertamente es Dios? Esperan ansiosamente el día domingo pensando que pueden relajarse y disfrutar. En realidad, deberían ponerse tristes de estar perdiendo el tiempo el domingo sin hacer ningún trabajo. This is your duty, your Dharma. MENSAJE DEL DIA 15 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM ¿Qué significa Dharma? ¿Cuál es su esencia? ¿La gente común, puede llevar una vida feliz y sobrevivir si se ciñe al Dharma? Estas dudas confunden la mente de la gente durante el transcurso de su vida activa. Aclararlas es necesario, más aún, urgente. Apenas se menciona la palabra Dharma, la relacionan con dar limosnas, comida y refugio a los peregrinos, el apego a su profesión u oficio tradicional, el respeto por las leyes, la capacidad de distinguir entre el bien y el mal, la búsqueda de la propia esencia por encima de los caprichos de la mente, el cumplimiento de los deseos más atesorados, etc. Por supuesto, hace mucho, mucho tiempo que el rostro inmaculado del Dharma fue empañado hasta hacerse irreconocible. Entonces ¿quién puede curar la ceguera actual? ¡Todos ustedes! Todo lo que tienen que hacer es matar a la séxtuple bestia de los enemigos interiores, que los llevarán al desastre con la atracción de la lujuria, el enojo, la avaricia, el engaño, el orgullo y el odio. Recién entonces se puede restaurar el Dharma. (Dharma Vahini, Cap. 1) What is meant by Dharma? What is its essence? Can common people lead a happy life and survive if they stick to Dharma? These doubts confuse people’s minds in the course of their natural livelihood. Solving them is necessary, even urgent. As soon as the word Dharma is mentioned, people relate it to giving of alms, providing food and shelter to pilgrims, adherence to one's traditional profession or craft, law-abiding nature, the discrimination between right and wrong, the pursuit of one's innate nature over the freaks of one's own mind, the fruition of one's fondest desires, etc. Of course, it is a long, long time since the spotless countenance of Dharma has been tarnished beyond recognition. Now, who can cure the present blindness? All of you! All you need to do is to slay the six-fold beast of inner enemies, leading you on to disaster through the pulls of lust, anger, greed, delusion, pride and hate. Only then Dharma can be restored. Desafortunadamente en la actualidad los jóvenes educados se esfuerzan por obtener riqueza material, fuerza física y amistad. Pero todo esto tendrá poco valor sin la riqueza del carácter. Tanto para los hombres como para las mujeres, el carácter es la base. Si a uno le falta personalidad, se vuelve débil respecto a todo lo demás. En otros tiempos, la gente se esforzaba por cultivar un carácter noble. Estaban preparados para dar sus propias vidas por una causa justa. Las mujeres se esforzaban por defender el honor de sus esposos. La fortaleza de un individuo no reside en la riqueza material que posee. Hay que estar preparados a enfrentar cualquier dificultad para poder llevar una vida virtuosa. El país está en un momento difícil debido a la ausencia de hombres y mujeres de carácter noble. La riqueza material no es lo que se necesita hoy. Es preciso lograr la riqueza de las virtudes. Unfortunately the educated youth are striving for wealth, physical strength and friendship. But all these have little value without the wealth of character. For men or women, character is the foundation. If one lacks character, one becomes feeble in all other respects. People of those days strove for noble character. They were prepared to give up their very lives for a righteous cause. Women strived to uphold the honor of their husbands. The strength of an individual lies in one’s character, not in the wealth one earns. One should be prepared to face any hardship to lead a virtuous life. The country is in dire straits due to the absence of men and women of character. Materialistic wealth is not what we need today. We need to earn the wealth of virtues. El Dharma es la base del bienestar de la humanidad; es la única verdad inalterable a través de todos los tiempos. Cuando el Dharma no logra transformar la vida humana, el mundo sufrirá angustia y temor, atormentado por revoluciones tempestuosas. Cuando el fulgor del Dharma no ilumine las relaciones humanas, la gente estará envuelta en pesar. Todas las religiones y escrituras explican el Dharma y proclaman su Gloria a viva voz. El flujo de actividad Dhármica no debe secarse nunca; cuando sus frescas aguas dejen de fluir, sobrevendrá el desastre. When Dharma fails to transform human life, the world will be afflicted by agony and fear, tormented by stormy revolutions. When the effulgence of Dharma fails to illumine human relationships, people will be shrouded in sorrow. All religions and scriptures expound Dharma and proclaim aloud the Glory of Dharma. The stream of Dharmic activity should never run dry; when its cool waters cease to flow, disaster is certain. God is the embodiment of Dharma; His Grace is won by Dharma. La madre no es insensible o cruel; ella conoce la capacidad del muchacho y lo trata como debe ser tratado. A otro hijo, lo acompaña a la cocina, se sienta a su lado y le sirve la comida. Pero sienta al tercer hijo en su regazo y lo alimenta con canciones para hacer que el proceso sea agradable para el niño. No piensen que la madre es parcial; no, sólo está haciendo uso de su conocimiento de la capacidad de sus hijos para hacerlos progresar. Esa es la naturaleza del amor maternal. The eighteen-year old boy is asked by the mother to go into the kitchen, take a plate and serve himself rice and curry and eat. The mother is not callous or unkind; she knows the capacity of the boy and treats him as he ought to be treated. For another son she accompanies to the kitchen, sits by his side and serves food to him. But she seats the third son on her lap and feeds with many a song in order to make the process pleasant for the child. Do not think that the mother is partial; no, she is only making use of her knowledge of the capacity of her children to make them progress. That is the nature of maternal love. Sufran la pérdida y el duelo gustosamente, porque ayudan a fortalecer su personalidad. El diamante se encuentra en medio de las rocas; tendrán que llegar a la veta a través de una explosión para conseguir el oro. Sigan el régimen estricto que el médico les hace cumplir con el fin de que el medicamento surta el mejor efecto. La batería de su "auto" se carga cuando llegan a Puttaparthi o cuando van a algún otro lugar santo. O al menos ese debería ser el objetivo de la peregrinación. Carguen la batería de su esfuerzo espiritual y luego, después de regresar a casa, no dejen el auto inactivo. Si lo hacen, la batería se descargará; tomen el coche y manténganlo en marcha; entonces la batería se cargará por sí misma. Así también, si no continúan con la santa compañía, la buena actitud, los bhajans, y recordando el nombre de Dios como parte de su vida, toda esta carga se convertirá en una pérdida. (Divino Discurso, 25 de junio de 1960). Never yield to indolence or despair. Suffer loss and grief gladly, for they help to toughen your personality. The diamond is found amidst rocks; you will have to blast through the vein to get gold. Follow the strict regimen that the doctor enforces in order to make the medicine yield the best result. The battery of your ‘car’ is charged when you come to Puttaparthi or when you go to some other holy place. Or at least that should be the aim of the pilgrimage. Charge the battery of your spiritual effort and then, after you return home, do not keep the car idle. If you do, the battery will run down; take the car around and keep it going; then the battery will charge itself. So also, if you do not continue the holy company, the good attitude, bhajans, and remembering God’s Name as part of your life, all this charging will turn into a waste. MENSAJE DEL DIA 10 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Prema (el amor puro) es devoción filial cuando se dirige a los padres, compañerismo cuando fluye hacia los amigos, amor cuando se siente hacia la pareja, respeto cuando se expresa hacia los ancianos, y afecto cuando se sienten atraídos por los niños. Bhakti (la devoción) afecta sus actos en tres formas: en primer lugar, realizan algunos actos conscientemente con el fin de expresar su amor o dar forma al Prema que los anima; en segundo lugar, realizan actos como ofrendas dedicadas a realzar la gloria del Señor, en un espíritu de humilde adoración, como si estuvieran ofreciendo a Sus pies todo lo que son y todo aquello de lo que son capaces; y en tercer lugar, realizan actos que están llenos de Prema hacia todo, como parte de su mera existencia, de forma automática, sin ningún matiz de violencia que altere el perfume del acto. Un acto dedicado lleva hacia toda la actividad a que se dedica; el Ananda que experimentan les hace sentir que su esfuerzo ha valido la pena. Ese es el fin, el objetivo y la inspiración. Prema (pure love) is filial piety when directed towards parents, companionship when it flows towards friends, love when it is felt towards the partner, respect when it is expressed to elders, and affection when you are drawn towards children. Bhakthi (devotion) affects your acts in three forms: first, you do some acts consciously in order to express your love or give shape to the Prema that animates you; second, you do acts as dedicated offerings to enhance the glory of the Lord, in a spirit of worshipful humility, as if you are offering at His feet all that you are and all that you are capable of; and third you do acts which are full of Prema towards all, as part of your mere existence, automatically, without any tinge of violence upsetting the perfume of the act. One dedicated act leads on to all activity being dedicated; the Aananda you experience makes you feel that your effort has been worthwhile. That is the end, the aim and the inspiration. MENSAJE DEL DIA 09 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Algunas personas pueden reírse de los cantos devocionales (Bhajans) y los llaman mero espectáculo y exhibición, recomendando en cambio la meditación en un lugar tranquilo en el retiro silencioso de la sala de meditación. Pero salir y cantar Bhajans en compañía de otras personas ayuda a eliminar el egoísmo; uno no tiene miedo ni vergüenza de decir en voz alta el nombre del Señor. Uno se inspira en la devoción de los demás; la compañía de las personas con sentimientos afines ayuda a potenciar al pequeño brote para que no sea calcinado por el calor de la burla. Una persona barrerá el suelo de su habitación con una escoba cuando nadie esté mirando, pero realizar el mismo acto cuando la gente está mirando requiere un poco de dominio sobre el ego. Jayadeva, Gouranga, Meera, Purandaradasa, Thyagaraja y similares cantaron con sus corazones al Señor y se emocionaron al pensar en el Señor, porque tenían Amor por Dios en una forma pura y sobrecogedora. El amor desinteresado llena sus mentes con alegría y esperanza. But coming out and doing Bhajan in company of others helps in removing egoism; one is not afraid nor ashamed to call out the Name of the Lord. One gets inspired by the devotion of others; the company of people with kindred sentiments helps to foster the tiny seedling from being scorched by the heat of derision. A person will sweep the floor of his room with a broom when nobody is looking on; but to do the same act when people are looking on requires some mastery over the ego. Jayadeva, Gouranga, Meera, Purandaradasa, Thyagaraja and the like sang their hearts out to the Lord and were thrilled at the thought of the Lord, because they had Love for God in such a pure and overpowering form. MENSAJE DEL DIA 08 de agosto de 2015 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM En la actualidad, todos los pueblos y ciudades están enfermos de animosidades y mezquinas rencillas. A pesar de que se han hecho muchos intentos durante los últimos años para mejorar la suerte de la gente común, los resultados han estado muy por debajo de las expectativas y los gastos. Esto se debe a la ausencia de tres requisitos esenciales para todo avance: Dhairyam, Utsaham y Aanandam (coraje, entusiasmo y alegría). ¡La naturaleza tiene la belleza suficiente para infundir sobrecogimiento y asombro, para impartir coraje, para inspirar entusiasmo y llenarlos de alegría! Es un especie de falso vairagyam (desapego) el cerrar los ojos a toda la belleza, la abundancia, la misericordia que recibes de la Madre Naturaleza, e ir de un lado a otro con aflicción, lamentando su suerte. Den gracias al Señor por la oportunidad que les ha concedido de servir a los demás y a ustedes mismos, de ser testigos de Su Gloria y Gracia, y miren a todos como hermanos y hermanas. Las virtudes del pueblo son los tesoros del Estado; la evocación del nombre del Señor es la raíz de todas las virtudes. (Divino Discurso, 23 de noviembre de 1960). Every village and town today is sick with animosities and petty quarrels. Even though many attempts have been made during the past years to better the lot of the common people, results have been far below expectations and expense. This is because of the absence of three requisites essential for all advancement: Dhairyam, Utsaham andAanandam(courage, enthusiasm and joy). Nature has sufficient beauty to instill awe and wonder, to impart courage, to inspire enthusiasm and fill you with joy! It is a type of false vairagyam(non-attachment) to close one’s eye to all the beauty, plenty, mercy that you receive from Mother Nature, and to run around in sorrow, bewailing your lot. Be thankful to the Lord for the chance given to you to serve others and yourselves, to witness His Glory and Grace, and look upon all as brothers and sisters.The virtues of the people are the treasures of the State; the remembrance of the name of the Lord is the root of all virtues.
