PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 31 DE JULIO 2011


Así como muchas variedades de peces y otras criaturas acuáticas se mueven dentro de un acuario, multitudes de seres humanos circulan en el mar llamado el Señor. Algunos no se han desarrollado, algunos son subdesarrollados; circulan nadando, codiciosos y egoístas. En medio de esta multitud de seres ignorantes hay unos pocos Jnanis (sabios) y Yogis (almas altamente desarrolladas). Puesto que están mezclados con la turba ignorante, se hace difícil distinguir a los sabios de los demás. Es necesario un microscopio para identificar los corpúsculos rojos en la sangre; de manera similar, se necesita de un microscopio especial para encontrar a los sabios. Ese microscopio es un constante Dhyana (contemplación del Señor).

Just as many varieties of fish and other aquatic creatures move about inside an aquarium, multitudes of human beings move about in the sea called the Lord. Some are undeveloped, some underdeveloped; they swim around, greedy and selfish. In the midst of this crowd of ignorant beings are a few Jnanis (wise ones) and Yogis (highly developed souls). Since they are mixed up with the ignorant crowd, it becomes difficult to distinguish the wise from the others. A microscope is necessary to identify the red corpuscles in the blood; similarly, a special microscope is needed to find the wise. That microscope is constant Dhyana (contemplation of the Lord).

¿Qué es una vida de práctica espiritual? 


Una vida de práctica espiritual consiste en la dedicación de todos los actos a Dios, la ofrenda de todo lo que uno hace o piensa o habla a los pies de Dios. Usted puede hacer esto solo cuando se da cuenta siempre de la presencia de Dios, en y alrededor de ustedes. Su conciencia no debe apartarse por un momento de Dios. La mente tiene que girar en torno a un centro, Dios.

La concentración debe ser fuerte y estable. Usted está ahora en condiciones de alcanzar la concentración para caminar, hablar, escribir o andar en bicicleta . Pero, usted dice que se siente impotente cuando se trata de concentrarse en Dios. 

¿Por qué tienen que luchar para conseguirlo? 

La razón es la siguiente: usted no tiene ningún deseo, ningún apego, cariño, o amor por Dios. 

Sin embargo, lleva a cabo la tarea. 

Por medio de practica continua, es posible adquirirlo.

What is a life of Spiritual Practice?


A life of spiritual practice involves the dedication of all acts to God, the offering of whatever one does or thinks or speaks at the Feet of God. You can do this only when you are aware always of the Presence of God, in and around you. Your awareness must not deviate for a moment from God. The mind must revolve round one centre, God.


Your concentration must be strong and steady. You are now able to attain concentration when you walk, talk, write or cycle along. But, you say you are helpless when it is a question of concentrating on God. Why have you to struggle to acquire it? The reason is: you have no yearning, no fond attachment, no Love towards God. But, carry on with the endeavour. By means of continuous culture, it is possible to acquire it.
