No crean erróneamente que esta morada temporal es su residencia eterna. No se descorazonen frente a los pasajeros problemas y efímeras tragedias. Súmanse en el esfuerzo por alcanzar al Señor eterno. Todo en este mundo está sujeto a destruirse – si no hoy, al menos mañana será cierto que se desintegre. No es justo rechazar al Señor quien se relaciona eternamente con ustedes, ¡y dejarse desviar por este mundo con el que uno se relaciona por un corto tiempo! Piensen en el número de nacimientos que han tenido, los incontables madres, padres, mujeres, maridos, hijos, hijas, amigos y enemigos que han tenido. ¿Subsisten hoy? ¿Recuerdan ellos la relación? Para ellos ustedes son nadie y ellos también nada son para ustedes. Mas tanto ustedes como ellos tienen al Señor en común como el pariente invariable. Él subsiste a lo largo de todos los nacimientos. Él es eterno. Él cuida de ustedes nacimiento tras nacimiento. Él Señor nunca les abandonará. ¿Qué tragedia mayor podría darse que el olvidarse de un Señor así?

Do not mistake this temporary abode as your eternal dwelling place. Do not lose heart at evanescent troubles and short-lived tragedies. Immerse yourselves in the effort to attain the eternal Lord. Everything in this world is subject to decay —if not today, at least tomorrow it is bound to disintegrate. It is not right to reject the Lord, who is eternally related to you, and to be misled by this world with which one is related for a short while! Consider the number of births you have had, the countless mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, sons, daughters, friends, and enemies you’ve had. Do they subsist today? Do they remember the relationship? You are no one to them, and they are nobody to you. But you and they have the Lord in common as the unchanging relative. He subsists throughout all the births; He is eternal. He watches over you from birth to birth. The Lord will never give you up. What greater tragedy can there be than forgetting such a Lord?

TOLERANCIA.


La principal cualidad que se espera de un devoto es la paciencia. 

¿Qué es Bhakti? 

Varias personas tienen la noción equivocada de que adorar a algunos ídolos, la

observación de ciertos votos y la realización de algunos rituales es Bhakti. 

No es tan simple como eso. El deber principal de un devoto, especialmente de los

Bharatiyas, es la observación de la calidad de la tolerancia en la práctica.

Forbearance.


The foremost quality expected of a devotee is forbearance. What is Bhakti ? Several people are 

under the mistaken notion that worshipping some idols, observing certain vows and performing 

some rituals is Bhakti. It is not as simple as that. The foremost duty of a devotee, especially of the 

Bharatiyas, is observing the quality of forbearance in practice.
