PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 14 DE JULIO 2011


Guru Poornima o Vyasa Poornima es un día santo que ha de ser celebrado con oración y arrepentimiento sincero, que surjan del amor por Dios, para lograr la propia perfección. Debieran celebrar hoy con plegaria y contrición porque sólo ellas pueden limpiar el corazón, y no con festines o ayunos que sólo afectan al cuerpo. La mente del hombre se compara con la luna por ser tan caprichosa como ella, con sus vaivenes entre la luz y la sombra. En este día de plenilunio también la mente ha de estar luminosa, brillante y fresca. Vyaasa nació con un claro instinto de superación espiritual y se sumió en profundos estudios y Sadhana (prácticas espirituales) ya desde niño. Adquirió tal sabiduría y gloria divinas que se le identifica con Dios Mismo. Sobresale como el Loka Guru (Maestro del Mundo) porque codificó los himnos Védicos, preparó tratados espirituales para las gentes a las que quería educar y cuya consciencia elevó para que pudieran aspirar a realizar a Dios.

Guru Poornima or Vyaasa Poornima is a holy day, which must be celebrated with prayer and sincere repentance, arising from love for God to attain your own perfection. You should celebrate today with prayer and contrition, for they alone can cleanse the heart, and not by feasting or fasting, which affect only the body. The mind of man is compared to the moon, for it is as wayward as the moon, with its swing from brightness to darkness. On this full moon day, the mind too has to be bright, effulgent and cool. Vyaasa was born with a great urge for spiritual uplift and he entered into deep study and Sadhana (spiritual practices) even as a child. He acquired such divine wisdom and glory that he is identified with God Himself. He stands out as the Loka Guru (World Teacher) for he codified the Vedic hymns, prepared spiritual treatises for the people whom he loved to educate and raised their awareness so they could aspire to realize God.

Sólo cuando los Pandavas sufrieran muchas penalidades durante los catorce años de su exilio, se

podrían asegurar la gracia de Krishna, y el Señor estuvo siempre con ellos en todas partes.

Los Pandavas tenían prioridades en sus vidas. Dios era la primera para ellos, luego venia el mundo, y por ultimo ellos mismos .

Face each and everything in this world with a smile of happiness

You should face each and everything in life with a smile of happiness. In this dualistic world, it is natural that gain and pain alternate. 

You cannot avoid it. 

Any adversity is a stepping-stone to eternal bliss. 

Only when the Pandavas suffered many hardships during the fourteen years of their exile, they could secure the grace of Krishna and the Lord was always with them everywhere. 

The Pandavas had correct priorities in their lives. God was first to them, then came the world, and 'I' came last.
