PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 24 DE OCTUBRE 2011

La vanidad, los celos, la ira, el ansia por informarse de las flaquezas de otros y de sus errores, los embustes – todos ellos son obstáculos en la senda espiritual. Aunque no se exhiban abiertamente, los impulsos internos que le lleven a uno por estas direcciones erradas están latentes en la mente. Al igual que una habitación mantenida por largo tiempo cerrada, que se encuentra llena de polvo y maloliente, se asea y se vuelve habitable gracias a un profundo barrido y sacudido, así también la mente ha de ser aseada mediante la meditación. Los aspirantes espirituales deben examinar, a través de una observación interna, a la mente, sus contenidos y condición. A través de adecuados hábitos disciplinarios, la suciedad acumulada habrá de eliminarse de a poco, sistemáticamente. La vanidad, por ejemplo, tiene raíces profundas y no cede. Podría parecer seca y muerta por un tiempo, pero brotará fácilmente de nuevo. En la mente desarrolla muchas ramas y se expande en todas direcciones, tan pronto como surge la oportunidad. Por ende, manténganse siempre vigilantes.

Conceit, jealousy, anger, the craving to inform oneself of the weakness of others and their failings, trickery — all these are obstacles in the spiritual path. Even if these are not patently exhibited, the inner impulses urging one along these wrong directions are latent in the mind. Just as a room kept closed for a long time is opened and found to be dust ridden and foul-smelling, is cleaned and made habitable by elaborate sweeping and dusting, so too the mind has to be cleansed by meditation. Spiritual aspirants must, by inward observation, examine the mind and its contents and condition. By proper disciplinary habits, the accumulated dirt should be removed little by little, systematically. Conceit, for example, is deep-rooted and unyielding. It may appear to be dry and dead for some time, but will sprout again easily. In the mind, it puts forth many branches and spreads in all directions, as soon as a chance arises. So, be ever vigilant.

Sai Ram - Importancia del Día de la Independencia

"¿Qué significa Deepavalli ? 

Significa matar al demonio en el hombre." Nara "significa hombre y" Asura "significa demonio. Este demonio está presente en todo ser humano. No es necesario adquirir grandes Astras y Sastras (armas), para matar a este demonio. 

El hombre se llama "Nara" porque hay Atma en él. Ese Atma es la personificación del amor. No es posible matar a los demonios sino por medio del amor. Por lo tanto, dense cuenta de la Tathva Atma y desarrollen el amor. Esta es el verdadera Bhakti (devoción).

Estamos celebrando un evento sagrado al matar al demonio Narakasura, con un festival de deliciosos platos  y hacemos un festín con ellos. Sin embargo, no estamos haciendo ningún esfuerzo por comprender el significado interno de este evento sagrado. 

A fin de comprender la santidad de este gran acontecimiento, debemos unirnos en Satsanga (buena compañía). Ustedes no debe llevar una vida de egoísmos. Que es la vida de un individuo (vyashti). Es una vida inútil. Sólo en la vida Samashti (en comunidad) , pueden darse cuenta de la divinidad.

Deben llevar una vida feliz identificándose con Samashti (la sociedad). De hecho, Samashti es la encarnación de la divinidad. Dar felicidad y recibir  felicidad. La felicidad no es un tráfico de un solo sentido, se trata de un proceso de dos vías,  toma y daca. 

Buenas palabras. Desarrollen Samyak Drishti (visión sagrada). Llevaen una vida de pureza. Hagan que su vida sea santificada.

Sai Ram - Significance of Deepavali

" What does Deepavalli event signify? It signifies killing the demon in man. 'Nara' means man and 'Asura' means demon. This demon is present in every human being. It is not necessary to acquire great Astras and Sastras (weapons) to kill this demon. Man is called 'Nara' because there is Atma in him. That Atma is the embodiment of love. It is possible to kill the demons only through love. Therefore, realise the Atma Tathva and develop love. This is true Bhakti (devotion).

We are celebrating such a sacred event of killing the demon Narakasura as a festival by preparing so many delicious dishes and feasting on them. But, we are not making any effort to understand the inner meaning of this sacred event. In order to understand the sanctity of this great event, we must join Satsanga (good company). You should not lead a life of selfishness. That is the life of a Vyashti (individual). That is a wasteful life. It is only in Samashti (community) life, can you realise divinity.

You must lead a happy life by identifying yourself with Samashti (society). In fact, Samashti is the embodiment of divinity. Give happiness and take happiness. Happiness is not a one-way traffic, it is a two-way process of give and take. Speak good words. Develop Samyak Drishti (sacred vision). Lead a life of purity. Make your life sanctified.
