PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 26 DE OCTUBRE 2011

El festival de Deepavali enseña una profunda verdad espiritual. En este día se enciende un gran arreglo de lámparas a partir de la llama de una sola. Este acto significa que es el Uno el que ha querido convertirse en los Muchos. Esta lámpara única simboliza al Supremo Señor Resplandeciente. Las demás simbolizan la luz en los seres individuales. Mientras permanezcan en el hombre las cualidades demoníacas, estará inmerso en la oscuridad. El Deepavali ha de ser observado como un día para liberarnos de todas las malas cualidades en nosotros, simbolizadas por el demonio Narakasura. La destrucción de Narakasura simboliza la destrucción del mal y la restauración de lo bueno. Este es el significado interno del festival.

The Deepavali festival teaches a profound spiritual truth. On this day an entire array of lamps is lit just by the flame from one lamp. This act signifies that it is the One that has willed to become the Many. That one lamp symbolises the Supreme Effulgent Lord. The others symbolise the light of the individual selves. As long as the demonic qualities remain in man, he will be immersed in darkness. Deepavali has to be observed as a day for getting rid of all the bad qualities in us, symbolised by the demon Narakasura. The destruction of Narakasura symbolises the destruction of evil and the restoration of what is good. This is the inner significance of the festival.

Sai Ram - Simbolismo de la luz durante el Deepavali, explicado por Bhagavan.

"¿Qué es la luz? 

Es el medio por el cual somos capaces de ver objetos diversos. Durante el día podemos ver las cosas con la luz del sol y de noche por la luz de la luna, las estrellas y las lamparas. 

¿Qué es lo que nos permite saber que estamos viendo las cosas por la luz solar u otras fuentes? 

Es a través de los ojos. 

En el estado de sueño vemos muchos objetos, aunque nuestros ojos están cerrados. ¿Quién es el que ve en ese estado y quien es el que experimenta el sueño? 

Es es el Buddhi (inteligencia) que es capaz de ver las cosas por su propia luminosidad (Tejas). 

En el estado Sushupti (sueño profundo) ,  el Buddhi no está presente, pero la sensación gozosa de la experiencia es. 

¿Quién es el que experimenta de esta felicidad? Eso es el Atma (el Espíritu que mora en nosotros). "Yo soy el Atma y el Atma es" yo ", es la verdad que tiene que ser reconocido por todos. 

Es el Atma que activa el Buddhi, y  permite a los ojos de percibir objetos. 

El Atma es la verdad y usted es el Atma. Es cuando esta verdad se vive, sólo entonces puede el hombre lograr la unidad trascendental que subsume todo. "

"What is light? 

It is the means by which we are able to see various objects. During the day we see things by the light of sun and at night by the light of the moon, stars and lamps. What is it that enables us to know that we are seeing things by sunlight or other sources? It is through the eyes. In the Dream State we see many objects although our eyes are closed. Who is the seer in that state and who is the experiencer of the dream? It is the Buddhi (intelligence) that is able to see things by its own luminosity (Tejas). In the Sushupti (deep sleep) state even the Buddhi is not present, but blissful feeling is experienced. Who is the experiencer of this bliss? That is the Atma (the Indwelling Spirit). "I am the Atma and the Atma is "I" is the truth that has to be recognised by everyone. It is the Atma that activates the Buddhi, which enables the eyes to perceive objects. The Atma is the truth and you are the Atma. It is when this truth is experienced, then alone can man realise the transcendental unity that subsumes everything."
