La creación o manifestación comenzó, como los Upanishads dicen, cuando el Uno deseó, Ekoham Bahusyam - "Yo soy Uno; dejadme ser Muchos". ¡Es el número entero (1) que dota a los ceros detrás suyo de valor y validez! La realización de la función del "1" y el acto de ignorar todos los ceros que vienen después de él, es el fin y el objetivo de todo esfuerzo humano. Cuando la mente está serena y la inteligencia está aguzada, esta realización se llevará a cabo de forma natural. A través de la disciplina del servicio desinteresado, pueden reconocer fácilmente al Uno que aparece como muchos. Para lograr esa experiencia, el servicio debe prestarse ya sea desde un sentido supremo de deber o como ofrenda dedicada en forma humilde al Supremo, o con un espíritu de entrega total a la voluntad de Dios dejando todo pensamiento de la consecuencia a Su gracia. Cualquier acto de servicio hecho con estos motivos puros, desarrollará el desapego y conferirá mayores recompensas. [Discurso Divino, noviembre de 1970].
Creation or manifestation started, as the Upanishads say, when the One willed, Ekoham bahusyam - "I am One; let Me become Many. It is the integer (I) that fills the zeros after it with value and validity! The realisation of the function of the ‘I’ and the act of ignoring all zeros that come after it, is the end and goal of all human endeavour. When the mind is unruffled and the intelligence is sharpened, this realisation will take place naturally. Through the discipline of selfless service, you can easily recognise the One who appears as many. To attain that experience, service must be rendered either from a supreme sense of duty or as a humble dedicatory offering to the Highest, or in a spirit of total surrender to the will of God leaving all thought of the consequence to His grace. Any act of service done with these pure motives, will develop detachment and confer highest rewards. [Divine Discourse, Nov 1970]
