Dios es el Poder Eterno, omnipotente y omnisciente. Él es la causa y la consecuencia; es el alfarero, la arcilla y la olla. Sin Dios no hay Universo. Dios lo determinó, y el Universo ocurrió, como Su juego, como manifestación de Su poder. Los seres humanos encarnan Su voluntad, Su poder y Su sabiduría. Pero no están conscientes de esta gloria, pues la nube de la ignorancia vela la Verdad. Por eso Dios envía a santos y profetas, e incluso aparece como un Advenimiento, para revelar la Verdad, y para despertar y liberar a la humanidad. Hace dos mil años, cuando un mezquino orgullo y una espesa ignorancia contaminaban a la humanidad, Jesús vino como la encarnación del amor y la compasión, y vivió entre la gente, sosteniendo los ideales de vida más elevados. "Navidad" significa en realidad "la misa celebrada en el cumpleaños de Cristo". Es un rito religioso muy sagrado. Tratarlo como un festival para beber y bailar, es muy malo. God is the Eternal Power, omnipotent and omniscient. He is the cause and consequence - the potter, the clay and the pot. Without God, there is no Universe. God willed and the Universe happened, as His play, a manifestation of His power. Human beings embody His Will, His power, His Wisdom. But, they are unaware of this glory as the cloud of ignorance veils the Truth. Hence God sends saints and prophets, and even appears as an Advent to unveil the Truth, and to awaken and liberate mankind. Two thousand years ago, when narrow pride and thick ignorance defiled mankind, Jesus came as the embodiment of love and compassion, and lived amongst people, holding forth the highest ideals of life. ‘Christmas’ truly means the ‘Mass, held on the birthday of Christ’. It is a very sacred religious rite. To deal with it as a festival for drinking and dancing is very wrong. Spend Christmas in prayer. (Divine Discourse 24 Dec 1980)
