PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 26 DE AGOSTO 2011

Puede que uno tenga una inmensa fe en Dios. Mas, de tiempo en tiempo, el poder del Maya (ilusión) puede socavar esa fe. Hasta en tiempos difíciles nunca debiera vacilar la fe en Dios. Bajo ninguna circunstancia debiera alguien ir en contra de los mandatos de lo Divino. Sea cual fuere el culto que uno ofrezca, por muy intensamente que uno medite, si uno transgrediera los mandamientos del Señor, estas prácticas espirituales serían futiles. La razón radica en que lo Divino no tiene objetivos ni miras egoístas. Se debe a motivos egóticos y mezquinos el que la gente actúe en contra de los sagrados mandamientos del Señor. Hasta los más pequeños actos de transgresión podrían asumir proporciones peligrosas a su debido tiempo.

One may have immense faith in God. But from time to time, the power of Maya (illusion) may undermine one’s faith. Even in testing times, faith in God should never waver. Under no circumstances should anyone go against the injunctions of the Divine. Whatever worship one may offer, however intensely one may meditate, if one transgresses the commands of the Lord, these devotional practices become futile. The reason is that the Divine has no selfish objective or aim. It is out of small-minded selfish motives that people act against the sacred commands of the Lord. Even small acts of transgression may in due course assume dangerous proportions.

Cuando el niño sale del vientre de su madre, no tiene ninguna guirnalda alrededor de su cuello. No hay joyas, hechas de perlas, brillantes u ornamentos de oro. No hay collares tachonados con piedras preciosas como esmeraldas y diamantes. 

Pero hay una guirnalda alrededor de su cuello. Brahma ensarta las consecuencias de sus acciones pasadas en una pesada guirnalda y la coloca alrededor de su cuello en el momento del nacimiento.

The Consequences of your past deeds will always be with you -Bhagawan


When the child emerges from the womb of its mother, one does not find any garland around its neck. There are no jewels made of pearls nor are there glittering gold ornaments. There are no necklaces studded with precious stones like emeralds and diamonds. But there is one garland around its neck. Brahma strings together the consequences of his past deeds into a heavy garland and puts it around its neck at the time of birth.
