PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 14 DE AGOSTO 2011

El sacrificio es la más alta de las virtudes. No existe mayor felicidad que la obtenida del sacrificio. Sólo aquellos que sacrifican son los hijos de la inmortalidad. Alguien que tenga verdadero espíritu de sacrificio dona para otros sin vacilaciones ni reservas, sonriente y gustosamente, hasta sus más caras y valiosas posesiones. El entregarle al Señor los frutos de la acción es sacrificio real. Un Thyagi (quien sacrifica) no titubea siquiera en entregar su cuerpo, considerándolo como paja si valor. El sacrificio significa algo más que renunciar a fortuna, oro y objetos materiales. Es descartar las malas cualidades de uno como el odio, los celos, la ira y la inquina que se han ido arraigando a lo largo de muchas vidas.

Sacrifice is the highest virtue. There is no happiness greater than that obtained from sacrifice. Only those who sacrifice are the children of immortality. One who has the true spirit of sacrifice gives to others without any hesitation or reservation, smilingly and gladly, even his dearest and highest possession. Surrendering the fruit of action to the Lord is real sacrifice. A Thyagi (one who sacrifices) does not shrink even to give up his body, regarding it as worthless straw. Sacrifice means something more than giving up of wealth, gold, and material objects. It is discarding one’s evil qualities like hatred, jealousy, wrath and malice that have become ingrained over many lifetimes.

Su país y su cuerpo no son diferentes el uno del otro. Ambos se componen de los mismos cinco elementos. Ellos están inseparablemente relacionados entre sí y son interdependientes por completo. Son como imágenes especulares uno del otro. Traten de reconocer esta verdad. 

Los jóvenes de hoy son los líderes del futuro. Si el futuro es ser próspero, los jóvenes de hoy deben desempeñar sus funciones con la fe firme en Dios. 

Ustedes no están separados del país, son una parte de el. Tengan la firme convicción de que este país le pertenece a usted. 

Aquel que no dice con orgullo, esta es mi patria, esta es mi lengua materna, esta es mi religión puede ser comparado con un cadáver viviente. 

Toda persona, de cualquier país al que pertenezca, deben tener el patriotismo firmemente arraigado en su corazón.

Your country and your body are not different from each other. Both are composed of the same five elements. They are inseparably interrelated and totally interdependent. They are like mirror images of each other. Try to recognize this truth. The youth of today are the leaders of the future. If the future is to be prosperous, the modern youth should perform their duties with firm faith in God. You are not separate from the country, but a part of it. Have the firm conviction that this country belongs to you. One who does not say with pride, this is my motherland, this is my mother tongue, this is my religion can be compared to a living corpse. Every person, whichever country he may belong to, should have patriotism firmly ingrained in his heart.
