PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 21 DE AGOSTO 2011

Lo Divino encarna de era en era con el propósito de proteger a los virtuosos, castigar a los malvados y establecer la rectitud. Krishna fue una de estas manifestaciones de lo Divino. Cumpliendo Su promesa a la Madre Tierra, liberó al mundo de muchos gobernantes perversos y buscó establecer el reino de la rectitud para la protección de los buenos. Hoy en día, si lo Divino quiere castigar a los malvados y proteger a los justos, no quedaría ni una sola persona totalmente virtuosa. Todas calificarían para ser castigadas. Por ende, no viene al caso el destruir a los malvados. La tarea hoy es la de transformar el Adhama (iniquidad) en Dharma (rectitud). Esto ha de lograrse únicamente a través del amor.

The Divine incarnates from age to age for the purpose of protecting the virtuous, punishing the wicked and establishing righteousness. Krishna was one such manifestation of the Divine. In fulfilling his pledge to Mother Earth, He rid the world of many wicked rulers and sought to establish the reign of righteousness for the protection of the good. Today, if the Divine wants to punish the wicked and protect the righteous, there will not be even one wholly righteous person. All will qualify for punishment. Hence it is not a question of destroying the wicked. The task today is to transform Adharma (unrighteousness) into Dharma (righteousness). This has to be done through love alone.

Los hermanos Pandava eran muy afortunados. El mayor, Dharmaraja, llegó a ser el emperador. El segundo fue el indomable Bhima, armado con la maza terrible. El tercero fue Arjuna, el hijo del Señor de los Dioses, Indra. El Señor derramó su gracia sobre Arjuna y se dignó a servirle en la batalla como su auriga! A pesar de todas estas ventajas,  fueron sometidos a las más graves tragedias en la vida. ¿Cuál es la lección que la vida enseña? Nadie puede predecir una calamidad y en qué momento. Cada cosa depende de la voluntad de la Providencia,  todo sucede de acuerdo con el Plan Divino.

The Pandava brothers were highly fortunate. The eldest, Dharmaraja, rose to be the emperor. The second was the Indomitable Bhima, armed with the terrible mace. The third was Arjuna, son of the Lord of the Gods, Indra. The lord poured His Grace on Arjuna and deigned to serve him in battle as his charioteer! In spite of all these advantages, they were subjected to the severest tragedies in life. What is the lesson that their lives teach? No one can predict what calamity will overtake one and at what time. Every thing depends on the will of Providence; it all happens according to the Divine Plan.
