OM SRI SAI RAM
En tanto tengas en vista los deseos mundanos, no podrás escapar de la pena. La alegría y la serenidad no están presentes en los objetos exteriores; están dentro de ti. Pero en tu necedad los buscas fuera de ti mismo, en el mundo exterior. Con seguridad estás sujeto a partir de este mundo efímero -tal vez hoy o mañana. Por eso, dándote cuenta de su impermanencia, procura conocer la esencia de la Verdad eterna. Procura experimentar el amor que es Dios (el Paramatma) mismo. Discierne en cada disyuntiva, aceptando lo que es verdadero y descartando lo demás. Todos y cada uno pueden comprender fácilmente la relación que tú (el jiva) tienes con tu Creador, si adquieres estos tres instrumentos principales: (1) una mente no contaminada por el apego ni el odio, (2) un habla no contaminada por la falsedad y (3) un cuerpo no contaminado por la violencia. ¡Incorpórate y despierta, aquí y ahora! [Prema Vahini, Capítulo 19)
As long as you have worldly desires in view, you cannot escape sorrow. Joy and peace are not present in external objects; they are within you. But in your foolishness, you search for them outside yourself in the external world. For sure, you are bound to depart from this ephemeral world – perhaps today or tomorrow. Therefore realising its impermanence, try to know the essence of the eternal Truth. Try to experience the love that is God (Paramatma) itself. Discriminate at every turn, accepting what is true and discarding the rest. Anyone and everyone can easily grasp the relationship you (jiva) have with your Creator, if you acquire these three chief instruments - (1) a mind unsullied by attachment and hatred (2) speech unsullied by falsehood and (3) a body unsullied by violence. Arise and awaken yourself, here and now! [Prema Vahini, Ch 19.]
