El Señor reside no sólo en los corazones de los devotos, sino también en los corazones de los malvados. Una vez, el niño Prahlada se dirigió a su madre, Lilavati, y le dijo: "Madre, hay una sola diferencia entre yo, que soy devoto de Hari, y mi padre, que odia a Hari. Siempre contemplando en la nectarina dulzura del Señor, repitiendo Su nombre y recordándole constantemente, yo estoy inmerso en la bienaventuranza del amor al Señor, como si estuviera embriagado. Mi padre, en su odio hacia Narayana, ha convertido su corazón en una piedra, y Le ha instalado allí". El Señor que residìa en el corazón de Prahlada, quien amaba a Narayana, y el Señor que estaba en el corazón de Hiranyakasipu, quien odiaba a Narayana, eran uno y El mismo. Tenemos que vivir en la fe, para experimentar la felicidad. Percibiendo que la Divinidad es omnipresente, los devotos hacen sublimes sus vidas, al cantar las glorias del Señor y reposar siempre en Su nombre. (Discurso Divino, 15 de septiembre de 1986)
The Lord resides not only in the hearts of devotees, but also in the hearts of the evil-minded. Once the child Prahlada approached his mother, Lilavati, and told her, "Mother, there is only one difference between me, who is a devotee of Hari and my father, who hates Hari. Ever contemplating on the nectarous sweetness of the Lord, repeating His name, and constantly remembering Him, I am immersed in the bliss of love of the Lord, like one intoxicated. My father, in his hatred of Narayana, has turned his heart into stone and installed Him in it." The Lord, who dwelt in the heart of Prahlada, who loved Narayana, and the Lord who was in the heart of Hiranyakasipu, who hated Narayana, was one and the same. One has to live in faith to experience happiness. Realising that the Divine is omnipresent, the devotees make their lives sublime by singing the glories of the Lord and ever dwelling on His name.
