PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 16 DE JUNIO 2011


Un caballo no domado es entrenado por muchos métodos. De manera similar, es para domar nuestra díscola mente que tenemos la oración, los Bhajans (cantos devocionales) y el recuerdo del Nombre. En las etapas iniciales, el caballo corre en muchas direcciones, mas su entrenador no se preocupa. Sostiene firmes las riendas. También la mente corre naturalmente en diferentes direcciones cuando comienzan con el recuerdo y la repetición del Nombre; no deben dar paso a la desesperanza, la angustia o la indecisión. ¡Sosténganse firmes de la rienda, el Nama (Nombre Divino)! Después de un corto tiempo, quedarán bajo control su lenguaje y sus pensamientos. No permitan que nada se les acerque que pueda hacerles olvidar el Nombre del Señor. A su debido tiempo se darán cuenta del beneficio del nombre.

An untrained horse is trained through many devices. Similarly, it is to tame our unruly mind that we have prayer, Bhajans (devotional singing), and remembrance of the Name. In the initial stages, the horse runs in many directions, but the trainer does not worry. He holds fast to the reins. The mind, too, naturally runs in different directions when you begin remembrance and repetition of the Name; you must not yield to despair, anxiety, or indecision. Hold fast to the reins, the Nama (Divine Name)! Within a short time, your speech and thoughts will come under your grip. Do not allow anything to come near you that might make you forget the Name of the Lord. You will realise the profit of that name in due course.
