Los deseos son una fuente de placer para el hombre, pero también son la causa del dolor. La mente tiene que estar bajo control. Ni siquiera miles de hombres pueden contener un tren en rápido movimiento. Pero el tren se detiene cuando se aplica el freno. Lo mismo se aplica a los caprichos de la mente. Cuando se controla la mente, todos los dolores cesan. El Divino Atma, que mora en el corazón de todo ser humano, no se reconoce porque está cubierto por las nubes del deseo. El esplendor del sol se revela cuando el viento aleja las nubes que ocultan el sol. Del mismo modo, cuando el viento del amor aleja las nubes del deseo en el corazón, el ego (sentido del "yo") y la posesividad (sentido de "lo mío") son expulsados ??y la refulgencia del Atma interior se revela en toda su gloria.
Desires are a source of pleasure for man, but they are also the cause of grief. The mind has to be brought under control. Even thousands of men cannot hold back a fast-moving train. But the train comes to a stop the moment brake is applied. The same applies to the vagaries of the mind. When the mind is controlled, all sorrows cease. The Divine Atma, which dwells in the heart of every human being, is not recognized because it is covered by the clouds of desire. The splendour of the sun is revealed when a wind drives away the clouds that hide the sun. Likewise, when the wind of love blows away the clouds of desire in the heart, the ego (‘I’ ness) and possessiveness (sense of ‘mine’) are driven out and the effulgence of the Atma within is revealed in all its glory.
