PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 4 DE NOVIEMBRE 2011
Nadie le puede escapar a lo delusorio, sin que importe lo erudito que uno pueda ser. Como resultado de este engaño el hombre está sometido al sufrimiento y este sufrimiento actúa como un freno sobre la actividad. Arjuna, el gran héroe, capaz de inmensa renunciación y sabiduría, fue engañado por las atroces exigencias de la guerra. El consecuente sufrimiento obstaculizó su actividad. Confundió al cuerpo y al sí mismo, le imputó al Atma (nunca tocada por las características del mundo móvil y cambiante) la naturaleza irreal y efímera del mundo y creyó que este engaño era la verdad. Esta es la tragedia no solamente de Arjuna, ¡sino de la humanidad toda! Es por ello que el Bhagavad Geetha tiene un valor universal y eterno. El estudiarlo es como nadar a través del mar de lo delusorio. El hecho mismo que el Geetha le haya otorgado consuelo y liberación a millones es evidencia de su origen Divino.

No one can escape delusion, no matter how scholarly one may be. As a result of this delusion man is subjected to grief, and this grief acts as a brake upon activity. Arjuna the great hero, capable of immense renunciation and wisdom, was deluded by the awful needs of war. The grief therefrom handicapped his activity. He confused the body and the self; he imposed on the Atma, (ever untouched by the characteristics of the moving and changing world) the unreal and ephemeral nature of the world and believed this delusion to be true. This is the tragedy not of Arjuna alone, but of all humanity! That is why the Bhagavad Geetha is of universal and eternal value. To study it, is to learn the art of swimming across the sea of delusion. The fact that Geetha has provided consolation and liberation to millions is itself evidence of its Divine origin.

Sai Ram - El mayor sacrificio.
Una anciana se acercó a Buda y le ofreció la fruta de la granada. Buda la tomó y de inmediato hizo sonar el pequeño tambor. El Maharajá le preguntó a Buda: "Yo le ofrecí muchas riquezas para usted no hizo sonar el tambor, pero lo sacudió después de recibir una pequeña fruta .
Se trata de un gran sacrificio...?"
Buda respondió: "Maharaja, en el sacrificio, no es la cantidad lo que cuenta, es la calidad de los sacrificios lo que importa; es natural para un maharajá ofrecer oro, pero es un gran sacrificio cuando una mujer con hambre ofrece su única fruta de la granada!.. al Gurú .

No le importaba, incluso su vida y dio el fruto al Guru. ¿Qué mayor sacrificio puede realizar? No es un sacrificio, ofrecer lo que es superfluo para usted. verdadero sacrificio significa renunciar a lo que es más querido para usted, tiene más valor ".

The old woman approached Buddha staggering on her legs, and offered to him the pomegranate fruit. Buddha took it and immediately sounded the little drum. The Maharaja asked Buddha: "I offered so much wealth to you. You did not sound the drum. But you rattled it after receiving a small fruit. Is this a great sacrifice?"
Buddha replied: "Maharaja! In sacrifice, it is not quantity that counts, it is the quality of sacrifice that matters. It is natural for a Maharaja to offer gold. But what great sacrifice is made when a hungry old woman offers the pomegranate fruit to the Guru despite her hunger. She did not care even for her life and gave the fruit. What greater sacrifice can there be? It is not sacrifice to offer what is superfluous for you. True sacrifice means giving up that which is most dear to you, that which you value most."
