En una gran concurrencia, la gente habla muchos idiomas. Cada persona comprende sólo su idioma, y quiere que se le hable sólo en ese idioma. Pero hay un idioma del corazón, que todos pueden comprender y todos quisieran oír. Ese es el idioma que Yo hablo, el idioma que va desde Mi corazón hasta el de ustedes. Cuando el corazón habla al corazón, es el amor lo que se transmite, sin reserva alguna. Pruebas, agitación y emociones - estas son constantes para toda la humanidad. El corazón sensible las escucha con simpatía y responde con amor. Todos están ansiosos por ser felices; todos quieren trabajar menos y ganar más, dar poco y obtener abundantemente; pero nadie experimenta con el otro método, es decir, desear menos y dar más. Cada deseo es un grillete que entorpece el movimiento, un impedimento en el pie. Reduzcan los deseos, vivan simplemente; ese es el camino a la felicidad. (Discurso Divino, 15 de mayo de 1969)
In a large gathering, people speak many languages. Each person understands only their language, and wants that they should be spoken to in that language. But there is a language of the heart, which all can understand and all would like to hear. That is the language which I speak, the language that goes from My heart to yours. When heart speaks to heart, it is love that is transmitted without any reservation. Trials, turmoil and thrills - these are constant for all of mankind. The responsive heart listens to these with sympathy and answers with love. Everyone is eager to be happy; everyone wants to work less and gain more, give little and get amply, but no one experiments with the other method, that is, wanting less and giving more. Every want is a shackle that hinders movement, and is a drag on the foot. Reduce wants; live simply, that is the way to happiness. (Divine Discourse, 15 May 1969)
