PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 30 DE NOVIEMBRE 2011

Lo que existe es únicamente el espectador tanto del estado del soñar como del de la vigilia – el "yo". Conozcan a ese "yo" y sepan que ese "yo" es lo mismo que "Él" (Dios). Esto pueden saberlo únicamente mediante una intensa disciplina espiritual, que no sea desfigurada por la ira, la envidia ni la codicia – los vicios que brotan el ego. Deben vigilar y controlar cuidadosamente estos vicios. Cuando se enojan, actúan como poseídos por un espíritu maligno; su rostro se torna feo y aterrador. Como la luz roja que parpadea frente a un peligro, sus ojos y rostro se tornan rojos y actúan como una advertencia para ustedes. Acaten esa señal y retírense tranquilamente hacia un lugar solitario. No le den rienda suelta a palabras airadas. Una vez que ganen sabiduría, el ego desaparecerá naturalmente. Por lo tanto desarrollen sabiduría y disciernan reconociendo la naturaleza efímera de todas las cosas materiales. Así el ego fallecerá de muerte natural en el campo de vuestro corazón y ustedes alcanzarán la salvación.

What exists is only the perceiver of both the dream and the waking state - the "I”. Know that “I”; and know that “I” is the same as ”He” (God). You can know this only by intense spiritual discipline, that is not marred by anger, envy and greed - the vices that sprout from ego. You have to carefully watch and control these vices. When you get angry, you act as if you are possessed by an evil spirit; your face becomes ugly and frightful. Like the red bulb winking when danger is approaching, your eyes and face become red and act as a warning to you. Heed that signal and quietly get away to a lonely spot. Do not give free vent to wicked words. Once you grow in wisdom, ego will naturally fall away. So develop wisdom and discriminate by knowing the ephemeral nature of all objective things. Then ego will die a natural death from the field of your heart and you will attain salvation.

Uno debe estar dispuesto a sacrificar cualquier cosa por el amor de Dios y su mensaje - Bhagavan


La verdadera devoción consiste en obedecer la orden del Señor y la difusión de su mensaje. A pesar de innumerables dificultades, nunca el emperador Harischandra se desvió del camino de la verdad. Uno tiene que adorar a Dios, tanto en tiempos de dolor como de placer. Desafortunadamente, debido al efecto de la era de Kali, la gente lo adora cuando todo va bien y lo acusan en tiempos de desesperación.

Cuando se decidió que todos los devotos de Jesús debian ser crucificados junto a él, incluso sus más cercanos partidarios, Pedro, Mateo y Pablo se negaron a identificarse, como sus seguidores. 

¿Pueden estos ser verdaderos devotos? 

Uno debe estar dispuesto a sacrificar cualquier cosa por el amor de Dios y su mensaje. Bajo cualquier circunstancia, no hay que desobedecer el mandamiento de Dios. 

Esa es la determinación. La determinación da lugar al sacrificio, lo que conduce a la inmortalidad.

One should be prepared to sacrifice anything for the sake God and His message - Bhagawan


True devotion lies in obeying the command of the Lord and spreading His message. In spite of innumerable difficulties Emperor Harischandra never swerved from the path of truth. One has to worship God both in times of pain and pleasure. Unfortunately, due to the effect of Kali Age, people worship Him when everything goes well and accuse Him in times of despair. 

When it was decided that all the devotees of Jesus should be crucified along with Him, even His closest devotees, Peter, Matthew, and Paul refused to identify themselves as His followers. Can these be true devotees? One should be prepared to sacrifice anything for the sake God and His message. Under any circumstances, do not disobey the command of God. That is determination. Determination gives rise to sacrifice, which leads to immortality.

Sai Ram - Concepto de Swaha


En esta palabra, Swaha,  describe ha Saraswati como Vakrupuni o la encarnación de la palabra. 

También hemos de entender que esta palabra significa el hecho de que ella es la encarnación de todo lo que está contenido en los Vedas. 

Otra forma de ver el origen de esta palabra es verlo como "Su-aha". Esto significa que la prosperidad va junto con la voz de Prajapati, y se ha entregado al mundo. 

Hay otra combinación, 'swa-atmanam-aha ", que da la palabra Swaha. Entendemos que esto significa algo como que se ocupa del conocimiento de Atma, y esto nos dará el significado de la palabra Sakti.

Sai Ram - Meaning of Swaha


In this word, Swaha, we describe Saraswati as Vakrupuni or embodiment of all speech. We have also to understand that this word signifies the fact that she is the embodiment of all that is contained in the Vedas. One other way of looking at the origin of this word is to look at it as 'Su-aha'. This means that the prosperity which goes along with the voice of Prajapati is being handed over to the world. There is another combination, 'swa-atmanam-aha' which gives the word Swaha. We understand this to mean something which deals with the knowledge of Atma, and this will give us the full meaning of the word Sakti.

El apego al cuerpo produce sufrimientos de todo tipo y clase, y también sus precursores inmediatos – afecto y odio. Estos dos son los resultados de que el intelecto considere algunas cosas y condiciones como beneficiosas y otras no; esto es un engaño. A pesar del conocimiento de este hecho, hay momentos en que se apegan a objetos que consideran favorables y comienzan a detestar a los demás. Desde un punto de vista superior no existe esta diferencia – la distinción simplemente carece de sentido. No existen en absoluto dos; entonces, ¿cómo podría existir el bien y el mal? El ver dos en donde no hay sino uno es ignorancia (Maya). La ignorancia fundamental reside en la creencia de que son el cuerpo, y esta es la causa para todo sufrimiento. Practiquen el vivir en una concienciación divina en lugar de la conciencia corporal, libérese así del sufrimiento y vivan en la alegría.

Attachment to the body produces grief of all kinds and sorts, and its immediate precursors - affection and hatred as well. These two are the results of the intellect considering some things and conditions as beneficial, and others as not; this is a delusion. Despite the knowledge of this fact, at times, you get attached to objects that you consider favourable and start hating the others. From the highest point of view, there is neither; the distinction is just meaningless. There is no two at all; then how can there be good and bad? To see two where there is only one is ignorance (Maya). The fundamental ignorance is the belief that you are the body, and this is the cause for all grief. Practise to live in divine consciousness instead of body consciousness, and be free from grief and live in joy.

Lleven a cabo la acción sin anhelar los resultados. No se quejen por no haber alcanzado reconocimiento público por las donaciones que hicieran para algún Fideicomiso. Los frutos de la acción, ya sean buenos o malos, habrán de ser consumidos totalmente sólo por ustedes mismos. El mejor medio para liberarse de las consecuencias de sus acciones, es el llevarlas a cabo únicamente por ellas mismas. Así no cargarán ni con el pecado ni el mérito. Si ansiaran ganancias, debieran estar preparados para aceptar también las pérdidas. Si excavaran un pozo en el cruce de cuatro caminos, esperando conseguir el mérito por calmar la sed tanto de hombres como de animales, no podrán escaparle a la reprobación que sufrirían si alguien cayera en él y se ahogara. Es secreto para una vida feliz radica en renunciar al deseo por el fruto de la acción (Karma-phala-thyaga).

Perform action without hankering after the results. Do not complain that you did not get public recognition for the donations you gave to some Trust. Fruits of action, whether good or bad, have to be wholly consumed by you and you alone. The best means of liberating yourself from the consequences of your actions, is to perform them only for the sake of action. You will then be burdened neither with sin nor merit. If you crave for profit, you should be prepared to accept loss as well. If you construct a well where four roads meet, expecting to acquire the merit for quenching the thirst of men and cattle, you cannot run away from the demerit you will be credited with, when someone falls into it and drowns. The secret to a happy life is to give up the desire for the fruit of action (Karma-phala-thyaga).

PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 27 DE NOVIEMBRE 2011


En la medida que avance en la entrega desde la etapa de "yo soy Tuyo" (Thavaivaaham), a la de "Tu eres mío" (Mamaiva-thwam) y luego a "Tu y yo somos Uno" (Thwame-vaaham), el devoto habrá adquirido progresivamente la devoción que le hace inseparable del Señor, llamada Avibhaktha-bhakthi. En esta etapa, el devoto ya no puede retenerse y, por ende, se entrega en todo al Señor – eso completa la rendición de uno. Este estado de "Tu eres yo" se basa en la realización que todo es el Señor Mismo, nada menos. Por mientras persista la conciencia corporal, el devoto será el servidor y el Señor el Amo. Y en tanto que un individuo sienta separación respecto de otros individuos, existirá la conciencia corporal. Cuando uno progresa allende los límites del cuerpo, más allá del 'yo' y 'mío', entonces ya no existen distinciones; el devoto y Bhagavan son uno solo y lo mismo. En el Ramayana, Hanumantha alcanzó esta tercera etapa a través de su devoción.

As one advances in surrender from the stage, “Ï am Thine” (Thavaivaaham), to that of, “You are mine” (Mamaiva-thwam) and then to “You and I are One” (Thwame-vaaham), the devotee has progressively acquired the devotion that makes one inseparable from the Lord, called Avibhaktha-bhakthi. In this stage, the devotee can no more withhold oneself and hence offers all to the Lord - that completes one’s surrender. This state of “Thou art I”, is based on the realisation that everything is the Lord Himself, nothing less. So long as body consciousness persists, the devotee is the servant and Lord, the Master. And as long as an individual feels separateness from other individuals, there is body consciousness. When one progresses beyond the limits of the body, beyond that of ‘I’ and ‘Mine’, then there is no more distinction; the devotee and Bhagavan are one and the same. In the Ramayana, Hanumantha achieved this third stage through his devotion.

Desarrollen el amor. Donde quiera que estén, ya sea en el bosque, o en el cielo, ya sea en la ciudad o en el pueblo, ya sea en la cima de la montaña o en medio del mar, el amor es su único refugio. 

Amen, incluso a sus enemigos. Si se encuentran con el, no le den vuelta la cara . En cambio,  recibanlo con amor diciendo: "Hola hermano! ¿Cómo estás? "Impregnen su vida con amor. Desarrollen coraje y convicción. Sólo entonces puede la humanidad  transformarse en divina.

Develop love. Wherever you may be, be it in the forest, or in the sky, be it in the city or in the village, be it on the mountain top or in the middle of deep sea, love is your sole refuge. Love even your enemy. If you happen to see him, do not turn your face away from him. Instead, greet him with love saying, “Hello brother! How are you?” Suffuse your life with love. Develop courage and conviction. Only then can humanness be transformed into divinity.

Cuando usted ore con toda sinceridad, la respuesta ciertamente llegara. Abandonen todos los deseos y pidan desde el corazón angustiado. No ores con los labios, como lo haces ahora, desde la sala de puja, que no es más que un rincón de la casa.

Adorando al Señor con un ojo puesto en lo comida o en el horno, inhalando con avidez los olores del curry caliente.

Sus pensamientos sobre Dios están viciadas por "Vishavasana", el apego a los objetos sensoriales.
Hay una brecha enorme entre lo que dice, lo que hace, entre lo que son capaces de hacer y lo que logras.

When you call out in all sincerity, the Divine response will always come - Bhagawan


When you call out in all sincerity, the response will certainly come. Give up all low desires and call from the anguished heart. Do not pray from the lips, as you do now, from the puja room which is but a corner of the kitchen. You worship the Lord with an eye on the dishes or cooking on the oven, with a nose inhaling hungrily the smells of the hot curries.

El Señor Krishna no eliminó el engaño de Arjuna en un santiamén por Su voluntad. Indudablemente podría haberlo hecho. Mas eligió hacer que Arjuna pasara por las etapas del escuchar, la reflexión y la concentración, para poder experimentar la verdad por sí mismo. ¿Por qué culpar al Sol porque no ilumina tu cuarto? Abre las puertas y ventanas y el Sol, que ha estado esperando a la entrada por ese momento, inundará el cuarto de luz. Debes usar tu inteligencia para merecer la gracia de Dios. Ese es el propósito del esfuerzo humano. Para ayudarte a dirigir tu inteligencia hacia un propósito superior y resistir la senda de las tentaciones sensoriales, insisto en que busques y te quedes en la buena compañía, la asociación con los santos. Hay una mayor oportunidad de éxito en la lucha contra el mal, cuando uno se encuentra en medio de héroes espirituales.

There are three types of surrender (Saranagathi). The first one is Thavai-vaaham, where the devotee affirms “I am Yours” , the second is Mamai-vathwam, where one asserts “You are mine” and the last is, Thwame-vaaham which means “You and I are one.” Each is a step that leads to the other and the last is the ultimate state. In the first stage, Thav-eva-aham, the Lord is completely free and the devotee is fully bound. Just like the cat and the kitten - the cat shifts the new born kitten about, as it wills; the kitten just mews and accepts whatever happens. This attitude is very gentle and is within easy reach of everyone. In the second, Mama-eva-thwam, the devotee binds the Lord in his heart and the Lord willingly remains bound. A devotee can tie up the Lord with Prema (love) that overwhelms and overpowers one’s own egoism. When one has this type of devotion (Bhakthi), the grace of the Lord fulfills every single need of the devotee.

"Existen tres tipos de Entrega (Saranagathi). El primero es Thavaivaaham, en donde el devoto afirma "yo soy Tuyo", el segundo es Mamaivathwam cuando uno asevera "Tu eres mío" y el último es Thwamevaaham que significa "Tu y yo somos uno". Cada uno es un paso que conduce al otro y el último representa al estado final. En el primer estado, Thav-eva-aham, el Señor es complemente libre y el devoto está plenamente sometido. Es como la gata y su cachorro – la gata lleva al cachorro hacia donde ella quiera; el cachorro sólo maúlla y acepta todo. Esta actitud es muy benigna y está al alcance de todos. En el segundo, Mama-eva-thwam, el devoto ata al Señor en su corazón y el Señor voluntariamente permanece atado. El devoto puede atar al Señor con un Prema (amor) que abrume y arrolle al egoísmo propio. Cuando uno desarrolla este tipo de devoción (Bhakthi), la gracia del Señor satisface cada una de las necesidades del devoto."

La paz es un estado mental que está en verdad dentro de uno mismo. Emana desde el corazón. Existe una reacción, una resonancia y un reflejo para todo en el mundo. Sólo cuando haya odio en ustedes mismos verán odio en otros. A veces, aunque nadie les perjudique, ustedes tratan de perjudicar a otros. Sea lo que fuere que hagan a otros, definitivamente experimentarán en sí mismos el resultado de esa acción, ya que todo lo que escuchen o experimenten se deberá a la reacción, al reflejo y a la resonancia de sus propias acciones y sentimientos; no serán otros los responsables. Se olvidan de esta simple verdad y se lamentan, "tal y cual me está acusando o me está hiriendo o me está causando dolor" etc. Muchas veces tienden a enfrentar o a herir a otros. De aquí en adelante, siempre ayuden a los demás, nunca hieran a nadie. Atiendan a su consciencia, ella les ayudará a manifestar cualidades nobles.

Whatever you do to others, you will definitely experience the result of that action, and whatever you hear or experience is all due to the reaction, reflection, and resound of your own actions and feelings; others are not responsible for it. You forget this simple truth and lament, "so and so is accusing me or causing pain to me or hurting me" and so on. Many a times you tend to fight and hurt others. From today onwards, always help others, never hurt anyone. Follow your conscience, it will help you to manifest noble qualities.

El odio y la envidia deforman el verdadero encanto del hombre. La ira es un combustible para todo tipo de pecados. Por eso, quienes aspiren al éxito en el campo espiritual deberán decidir controlar el enojo y reprimir los vagabundeos de la mente. Deberán calmar sus agitaciones e inquietudes mentales, y velar porque ellas no les creen también preocupaciones a otros. A partir de este mismo momento rueguen por la Gracia de Dios que les permitirá controlar y conquistar sus vicios. Profundicen su fe en Dios. Expandan su prema (amor) para abarcar a todo el género humano. Ojalá todos logren Verdad (sathyam), Paz (shanthi) y Alegría (sukham) por este medio. Ojalá se suman en la fuente de toda la bienaventuranza (Aanandam).

They must put down their mental agitations and worries, and see that they do not create worry in others also. From this very moment, pray for the Grace of God which will enable you to control and conquer your vices. Deepen your faith in God. Expand your prema (love) and take into its fold, the whole of mankind. May you all win Truth (sathyam),Peace (shanthi) and Joy (sukham) through these means. May you merge in the source of all bliss (Aanandam).

Hacia dondequiera que miren, allí está Dios presente. A quienquiera que vean, en él está Dios. Dios no tiene una forma particular, todas las formas son Suyas. Es por ello que los Vedas declaran Sahasra Seersha Purusha Sahasraksha Sahasra Pad – el Ser Cósmico tiene miles de cabezas, ojos y pies. Cuando se sienten para meditar, no permitan que la mente vacile, manténganla siempre estable. No cultiven diferencias entre ustedes ya que las controversias dan pie para muchos problemas. Aunque alguien haga que se enojen, no lo agredan, entiendan que cuando pelean se están dañando en realidad a sí mismos. Controlen también sus pensamientos. Todas estas son cualidades de una persona verdaderamente educada. Esto se llama 'Educare'. Junto con la educación también debieran contar con Educare, porque esto les dotará de salud, felicidad, paz y prosperidad. Todo se volverá bueno si hacen puro su corazón.

When you sit for meditation, do not allow the mind to waver; always keep it steady. Do not develop differences amongst yourselves as controversies give rise to many troubles. Even if anybody makes you angry, do not fight with them; understand that when you quarrel, you actually harm yourself. Also control your thoughts. All these are the qualities of a truly educated person. This is called Educare. Along with education, you should also have Educare, for this will grant you health, happiness, peace and prosperity. Everything will become good to you if you make your heart pure.

Cuando las nubes que ocultan la cara de la luna son arrastradas por el viento, la luna brilla clara y fresca; así también, cuando las nubes del egoísmo son disipadas, la mente del hombre brillará pura y plena, con su fulgor natural. Este es el nivel de la bienaventuranza en donde el pesar deja de existir. En donde haya una lámpara no podrá existir la oscuridad. La lámpara de la sabiduría (jnaana) una vez encendida, nunca se apaga, mengua ni vacila. El ananda (felicidad) y el shanthi (paz) que los hombres, impulsados por sus sentidos, buscan en los objetos del mundo, vacilan y pronto se disipan y mueren. No satisfacen sino momentáneamente nuestras tontas ansias. Se logran mediante la lujuria, la ira, el odio y la envidia, de modo que son falsos e inestables. Controlen y conquístenlos; sólo entonces pueden lograr verdadero Ananda y Shanthi. Estos no se disipan ni oscilan. Y no solamente pueden adquirirlos, sino que de hecho pueden llegar a convertirse en ellos.

When the clouds that hide the face of the moon are wafted by the winds, the moon shines clear and cool; so too, when the clouds of egoism are wafted away, the mind of man will shine pure and full, with its native effulgence. This is the stage of bliss where grief ceases to exist. Where there is a lamp, darkness cannot exist. The lamp of wisdom (jnaana) once lit never dies, fades or flickers. The ananda (happiness) and the shanthi (peace) that men seek from the objects of the world, prompted by their senses flicker and soon, fade and die. They only momentarily satisfy one’s foolish cravings. They are attained through lust, anger, hatred and envy, and so they are false and fickle. Control and conquer these; only then can you acquire real Ananda and Shanthi. These neither fade nor flicker. You can not only acquire these, you can in fact become these.

La fe en uno mismo y la fe en Dios. 

Si usted no tiene fe en Dios, ¿cómo puede tener fe en si mismo ?. El que no puede creer en sí mismo, ¿cómo puede creer en Dios? 

En primer lugar es necesario tener fe en si mismo, es decir, confianza en sí mismo. El que no tiene confianza en sí mismo, no puede tener confianza en Dios. Para el hombre, la fe es su aliento! Sin aliento, el hombre es sólo un cuerpo muerto.

Faith in yourself and Faith in God.

If you no faith in God, how can you have faith in yourself. One who cannot believe in himself, how can he believe in God? First you need to have faith in yourself i.e. Self-confidence. The one without Self-confidence cannot have God-confidence. For man, faith is his very breath! Without breath, man is just a dead body.

Sai Ram - Señor Omnipresente


Una vez en el albergue de niños en Prashanti Nilayam, un estudiante de posgrado estaba teniendo una conversación con su compañero  Prem. 

Ellos estaban discutiendo acerca las vacaciones de Swami en Kodaikanal . Prem dijo: "Tu nombre Wil seguramente estará allí." El niño se rió y dijo, "Swami ni siquiera sabe mi nombre. Siempre me llama chico Hyderabad."

Al día siguiente, durante el Darshan,  Swami les indico a todos los del Postgrado para se acercaran delante del Pórtico del Mandir. 

El estudiante y su amigo también avanzaron. Swami lo vio y dijo en telugu, "¿No es su nombre Venugopal ?" Él dijo: "Sí, Swami". Swami dijo inmediatamente, "Naaku telusu (lo sé). Buen chico. Koorcho (Siéntate)." 

Los estudiantes decidieron no hacer declaraciones generales como, "Swami no sabe" de nuevo. Él lo sabe todo.

Sai Ram - our Omnipresent Lord 


Once in the Boy's Hostel in Prasanthi Nilayam , A Post Graduate Student was having a conversation with his classmate Prem. They were discussing as to who Swami would be taking to Kodaikanal with Him that year. Prem said, "Your name wil surely be there." The Boy laughed and said, "Swami doesnt even know my name. He always calls me Hyderabad boy." 


The next day, during Darshan Swami asked for all the Post Graduate to come front of the Mandir Portico. The Student and his friend also moved ahead. Swami saw him and said in Telugu, "Isnt your name Venugopal?" He said, "Yes Swami". Swami immediately said, "Naaku telusu( I know). good boy. koorcho(sit)." 

The Student decided never to make sweeping statements like, "Swami doesn't know" again. He know everything.

PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 20 DE NOVIEMBRE 2011

La gente entrega su dignidad y status a otros hombres y mujeres a cambio de riqueza, fama, posesiones, pompa, poder etc. ¡Mas rara vez logra uno la oportunidad de entregarse al Señor por amor al Señor! ¿Cómo podría uno sentir el impulso por hacerlo, mientras ansíe los objetos materiales (aadheya) y no la Fuente de ellos (Aadhaara)? ¿Por cuánto tiempo podrá satisfacer lo que carece de fundamento? ¡La gente quiere lo creado, no al Creador; las cosas de la mano, mas no la Mano! ¿Puede existir un objeto sin una causa? No. Únicamente Dios es el 'Sin Causa'. Es crasa ignorancia el entregarse individualmente por amor a lo causado. Entréguense más bien a la Causa, la Fuente, el Origen de todo – Sarveswara. Esto es entrega genuina o Saranagathi.

People surrender their dignity and status to other men and women for wealth, fame, possessions, pomp, power, etc. But rarely does one get the chance to surrender to the Lord for the sake of the Lord! How can one feel the urge to do so, so long as one craves for the materialistic objects (aadheya) and not the Source of the objects (Aadhaara)? How long can the baseless satisfy? People want the created not the creator; things from the hand, but not the Hand! Can there be an object without the cause? No. God alone is the ‘Uncaused’. It is sheer ignorance to surrender individuality for the sake of the caused. Surrender rather to the Cause, the Source, the Origin of all - Sarveswara. This is genuine surrender or Saranagathi.

Uno que está por la verdad está obligado a ser victorioso. Por lo tanto, nunca te rindas
la verdad.

Un perro atrapado en una habitación cuyas paredes son espejos ve en todas las reflexiones múltiples, no en sí, sino sus rivales, competidores, otros perros que deben ser ladró. Por lo tanto, se cansa al saltar de esta reflexión y que, cuando las imágenes y también saltar, se vuelve loco de furia. El hombre sabio, sin embargo, se ve en todas partes y está en paz, él se alegra de que hay otros tantos reflejos de sí mismo a su alrededor. Esa es la actitud que usted debe aprender a tener, que te salvará de innecesaria molestia.

See yourself in all; love all as yourself - Bhagawan


See yourself in all; love all as yourself. A dog caught in a room whose walls are mirrors sees in all the myriad reflections, not itself but rivals, competitors, other dogs which must be barked at. So, it tires itself out by jumping on this reflection and that, and when the images also jump, it becomes mad with fury. The wise man, however, sees himself everywhere and is at peace; he is happy that there are so many reflections of himself all around him. That is the attitude you must learn to possess, that will save you from needless bother.
