Esta combinación se refleja en los deportes y juegos. Aunque puede haber diferencias entre las naciones en su comida y sus hábitos recreativos, el espíritu de armonía y unidad que se muestra en el deporte es un ejemplo gratificante para todos. Es una cualidad distintiva de los deportes que las diferencias se olviden y las personas participen en los juegos en un espíritu divino de amistad y camaradería. Los deportes ayudan a los jugadores no sólo a mejorar su salud, sino también a experimentar alegría. Los estudiantes, sin embargo, no deben contentarse con conocer estos beneficios. Es igualmente esencial el promover la pureza de la mente y desarrollar un gran corazón. La verdadera humanidad florece sólo cuando el cuerpo, la mente y el espíritu se desarrollan en armonía. El entusiasmo y el esfuerzo que exhiben en el deporte también deben manifestarse en las esferas de la moral y la espiritualidad. Although there may be differences among nations in their food and recreational habits, the spirit of harmony and unity displayed in sports is a gratifying example to all. It is a distinctive quality of sports that differences are forgotten and persons engage themselves in games in a divine spirit of friendliness and camaraderie. Sports help the players not only to improve their health but also to experience joy. Students, however, should not be content with realising these benefits. It is equally essential to promote purity of the mind and develop large heartedness. True humanness blossoms only when the body, the mind and the spirit are developed harmoniously. The enthusiasm and effort which you display in sports should also be manifested in the spheres of morality and spirituality.
