MENSAJE DEL DIA 31 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Realmente hablando, este mundo tiene que servir únicamente al propósito de sostener el cuerpo. Los aspirantes a la liberación tienen que someterse a los sentidos. "La comida para cuidar el cuerpo, el vestido para protegerse del frío", afirma el Uttara Guita (el Gita que Krishna imparte a Arjuna después de la guerra de Kurukshetra). Sin embargo, si uno se sumerge en estas actividades, uno se olvida del propósito para el cual ha venido y el objetivo de toda actividad y esfuerzo sagrados. Independientemente de cualquier actividad en la que una persona pueda estar involucrada, la persona debe, en forma tan automática como respirar, estar contemplando y ser siempre consciente de esto: "He nacido para servir a Dios y realizar mi verdadero yo". La disciplina consiste en: 1) El heroísmo de observar rigurosamente el dharma (Ojas). 2) El autocontrol sin miedo (Tejas). 3) El descarte de todos los sentimientos de alegría o tristeza con ecuanimidad, debido a los picos y valles de la vida. 4) Tener fe inquebrantable en el dharma y la verdad (Sahana). 5) Salud mental y física de la más excelente especie, obtenida mediante la disciplina y el celibato (bala). 6) El deseo y la capacidad de hablar con dulzura y y en forma directa, obtenidos mediante la práctica de la verdad y el amor. 7) El retiro de los cinco sentidos de la sabiduría (Jnanendriyas) y los cinco sentidos de la acción (karmendriyas) del vicio y el pecado, y la sublimación de todos los sentidos para servir a la verdad (indriya-moha). 8) La victoria sobre el Sí Mismo que resulta en la aceptación por el mundo. 9) La destrucción de los propios prejuicios y la búsqueda de la verdad en todo momento (dharma). MENSAJE DEL DIA 29 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Incluso cuando alcanzan el estado de vivir con Dios y la fusión en una forma divina (sarupya-mukti), todavía queda un rastro de sentimiento diferencial. El hecho de que un devoto tenga una forma como la del Señor, no puede tener los poderes de creación, preservación y destrucción que tiene el Señor. Sólo cuando todo rastro de diferencia desaparece y se logra la unidad, se llega a la etapa más alta. Esta es la unión real (Sayujya). Esta viene de la gracia divina ganada por la esencia de la práctica espiritual de cada uno; no puede ser reclamada como fruto del esfuerzo. El devoto desea servir al Señor como le plazca y experimentar la alegría de la forma que le ha atribuido al Señor. Pero el Señor, por Su gracia, da al devoto no sólo la existencia con el Señor, dando testimonio siempre de la gloria del Señor, y siendo bañado con la conciencia de Dios, sino también Sayujya - ¡la unión con Él! El camino de la devoción se traduce también en el logro del conocimiento último (Brahma-jnana). Incluso si el devoto no lo anhela, el Señor Mismo se lo concede al devoto. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 54) Even when you attain the state of living with God and merger in a divine form (sarupya-mukti), there is still a trace of differential feeling. Just because a devotee has a form like the Lord’s, one may not have the powers of creation, preservation, and destruction that the Lord has. Only when all trace of difference disappears and unity is attained, the highest stage is reached. This is real union (Sayujya). This comes of divine grace won by the essence of the spiritual practice of each; it cannot be claimed as the fruit of effort. The devotee wishes to serve the Lord as one pleases and to experience the joy of the form that one has attributed to the Lord. But the Lord, out of His grace, gives the devotee not only existence with the Lord, witnessing always the glory of the Lord, and being suffused with God-consciousness but also Sayujya - union with Him! The path of devotion results also in attainment of ultimate knowledge (Brahma-jnana). Even if the devotee does not crave it, the Lord Himself vouchsafes it to the devotee. MENSAJE DEL DIA 27 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM La adoración con plena conciencia de lo Divino, de la pureza de sentimientos, y de estar libres de todo pensamiento extraño, se convierte en sí misma en la unión mental con lo Divino (bhava-samadhi). Como resultado de esta unión mental, el Señor aparece ante el ojo interno de los devotos en la forma que éstos han elegido para adorarlo. La visión no es meramente cuestión de imaginación; es una experiencia ‘cara a cara’. Sin cambiar de posición, el devoto puede estar en presencia del Señor en el mismo lugar. Esto se llama ‘estar siempre con Dios (salokya-mukti)’ Además de estar siempre con el Señor, el devoto materializa todo lo que ve como la gloria del Señor. A esa experiencia se la denomina ‘ver siempre la gloria del Señor (samipya-mukti)’. Existir siempre con el Señor, presenciar siempre la gloria del Señor, y cubrirse de una ‘conciencia de Dios’, es una fusión con la forma Divina (sarupya-mukti).Este es el fruto final de la Escrituras devocionales. (Prema Vahini, Cap. 54) Worship with deep-rooted consciousness on the Divine, purity of feeling, and being free from all extraneous thought, becomes itself mental union with the Divine (bhava-samadhi). As a result of this mental union, the Lord appears before the inner eye of the devotee in the form that they have chosen for worship. The vision is not merely a matter of imagination; it is a ‘face-to-face’ experience. Without changing location, the devotee can abide in the presence of the Lord in the self-same place. This is called ‘being always with God (salokya-mukti)’. Besides being always with the Lord, the devotee realises all that they see as the glory of the Lord. The experience is referred to as ‘seeing always the glory of the Lord (samipya-mukti)’. Existing ever with the Lord, witnessing always the glory of the Lord, and becoming suffused with God-consciousness is merger in the divine form (sarupya-mukti). This is the final fruit of devotional scriptures. MENSAJE DEL DIA 26 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Desde los tiempos más remotos los Bharatiyas consideraban a la Verdad como Dios, la amaban, la promovían y la protegían y de esta forma alcanzaban la divinidad. Los Bharatiyas estaban dedicados a la Verdad, unidos al Dharma (Rectitud) y consideraban la moralidad en la sociedad como su deber primordial. Es tiempo que comprendan qué país tan sagrado es Bharat. En esta tierra santa, no falta nada. Según un antiguo dicho: “Lo que no se puede encontrar en Bharat no se encuentra en ninguna parte”. A pesar de estos múltiples dones, este país es considerado pobre y atrasado. Esto surge de un engaño. ¿Por qué mendigar a otros países cuando todo se puede conseguir en Bharat? Todo se originó en Bharat. Por lo tanto, siendo originarios de Bharat, esfuércense por promover la gloria de Bharat. Todo devoto debería hacer una promesa de proteger y promover la grandeza de Bharat. Como un elefante que no conoce su propia fuerza, los Bharatiyas ignoran su poder. Bharatiyas were devoted to Truth, wedded to Dharma (Righteousness) and esteemed morality in society as the foremost duty. It is high time you realised what a sacred country Bharat is. In this holy land, nothing is lacking. "What cannot be found in Bharat cannot be found elsewhere" is an ancient saying. In spite of these multifarious endowments, this country is being regarded as poor and backward. This is born of delusion. When everything is available within Bharat, why go begging to other countries? Everything has originated from Bharat. Hence, having taken birth in Bharat, strive to promote the glory of Bharat. Every devotee should take a pledge to protect and promote the greatness of Bharat. Like an elephant that does not know its own strength, Bharatiyas are unaware of their power. Despite their myriad capacities, they are behaving as weaklings like an elephant before its mahout. You have to get rid of this weakness. Las tendencias internas son como el agua pura, que no tiene forma, ni gusto, ni peso ¡y es buena para ustedes! El agua impura los lastima y les hace daño. Deben purificar su comportamiento mental, que es luego arruinado por los engaños del mundo. Si desean la felicidad, primero deben dominar y controlar el engaño externo. Entonces sus tendencias internas fácilmente se dirigirán a asegurarles la dicha (Atma-ananda). Las prácticas espirituales y la penitencia (Yoga y Tapas) son solamente otros nombres de la senda para controlar y dominar estas tendencias externas y protegerlos de los engaños. Elijan cualquier camino por el cual sientan que la gracia fluye hacia ustedes. La liberación se alcanza por medio de una observancia estricta de las reglas y prácticas necesarias para seguir la senda elegida. La senda les dará la fuerza para vencer el engaño y les asegurará un objetivo único. (Prema Vahini, Cap. 53) Overcoming senses that stray outward is difficult – they are attracted by taste, looks, and feels. The internal tendencies are like pure water which has no form, taste, or heaviness and is good for you! Impure water hurts you and harms you. You must purify your mental behavior, which is presently spoiled by the delusions of the world. If you desire happiness, you must first control and conquer the external delusion. Then your internal tendencies will easily move in the direction of securing bliss (Atma-ananda). Spiritual practices and penance (Yoga and Tapas) are only other names for the path to control and conquer these external tendencies and shield you from delusions. Choose any path through which you feel grace is flowing to you. Liberation is achieved by strict adherence to the rules and observances of following your chosen path. The path will give you the strength to overcome delusion and grant you one-pointedness. MENSAJE DEL DIA 24 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Algunas veces, cuando se gira el volante de un auto hacia un lado, se puede sentir que las ruedas arrastran al auto en otro sentido – ¡esto indica que hay una falla que hay que arreglar! Cuando las gomas están en llanta, sin nada de aire, se comportan como si no tuvieran ninguna relación con la dirección. Pero nunca pueden ir más allá los límites de la conducción. El manejo con las manos tiene que estar conectado a las ruedas para que se pueda andar; esa conexión de obligatoria e inevitable. Para el que ha luchado con sus sentidos externos y los ha dominado, sus instrumentos internos se vuelven fáciles de controlar. El mundo externo les distrae los sentidos y ustedes son atraídos, y sucumben al convertirse en objetos de esta experiencia. Vencer esto es una tarea verdaderamente difícil. Pero sus instrumentos internos no tienen forma, aunque se les ha dado un nombre; ya antes han experimentado la dicha espiritual (ananda) por eso pueden ser dominados con mayor facilidad. (Prema Vahini, Cap. 53) Sometimes, when the steering of a car is turned one way, you may experience the wheels dragging the car in another way – this indicates there is a problem you must fix! When the tyres are flat with no air, they behave as if there is no relationship with the steering. But they can never go beyond the bounds of steering. The steering in the hand must be connected to the wheels below for the journey to happen, that connection is mandatory and inevitable. For the one who has struggled with and conquered their out-going senses, their internal instruments become easily controllable. The external world distracts your senses and attracts you and you succumb by becoming objects of experience. To overcome them is indeed a difficult task. But your internal instruments have no form even though they may be endowed with name; they have experienced spiritual bliss (ananda) before, so they can be tamed with greater ease. MENSAJE DEL DIA 23 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Siempre amen y persigan solamente la verdad; la falsedad nunca es beneficiosa. Algunos pueden respetarla, pero van a ver que nadie honra la falsedad, el engaño y la injusticia todo el tiempo. Por el contrario, todos respetan la verdad, la honestidad, la integridad y la justicia. ¿Quién es una persona divina (devatha)? Es solo un nombre para la persona que observa la verdad como su voto personal en su vida diaria. La conducta correcta (dharma) como se prescribe en las Escrituras (Vedas) es puesta a prueba, comprobada y capaz de soportar la prueba del tiempo. Es imparcial y justa. La fe en ella crece con la práctica. La adoración de la Divinidad debe seguir las reglas prescriptas en las Escrituras (Vedas); por este medio, las personas se fortalecen para poder llevar una vida recta (dharmic). Este dharma es el mandamiento del Señor; es la auténtica voz de Dios, así que debe ser seguido por todos. El Dharma trae bondad a todos; confiere dicha (ananda) aquí y en el más allá. (Dharma Vahini, Cap. 13) Always love and follow only truth; falsehood is never beneficial. Some people may respect, but you will find that no one honors falsehood, deceit, and injustice all the time. On the contrary, everyone respects truth, honesty, integrity, and justice. Who is a divine person (devatha)? It is just a name for the person who observes truth as their vow (vratha) in daily living. The right conduct (dharma) as prescribed in the scriptures (Vedas) is tested, proven and capable of standing the test of time. It is impartial and just. Faith in it grows with practice. The worship of the Divine must follow the rules prescribed in the Scriptures (Vedas); through this means, people get strengthened in leading a righteous (dharmic) life. This dharma is the command of the Lord; it is the authentic voice of God, so it might as well be followed by all. Dharma brings goodness to all; it confers bliss (ananda) here and hereafter. MENSAJE DEL DIA 22 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Muchos discuten cómo es que la disciplina (según está descripta en las Escrituras) puede ser el comienzo del conocimiento. Y preguntan ¿No serán éstas meras limitaciones físicas? Sostienen que el conocimiento solo puede surgir del principio que garantiza la comprensión de uno mismo. Pero esta línea de pensamiento está basada en un gran error. A través de estas regulaciones físicas, los rasgos (vasanas) se destruyen y se establece la concentración. Fijarse un objetivo único es esencial para instalar la sabiduría espiritual firmemente en el corazón, y este objetivo único se puede obtener fácilmente con las disciplinas físicas y las austeridades (tapas) prescriptas en los Upanishads. El control externo ayuda al control interno de muchas maneras. ¡Lograr los controles externos es ciertamente más difícil que tener éxito en controlar los internos! En un auto en movimiento, las ruedas siempre van a seguir la dirección que da el conductor. Un giro del volante con la mano en cualquier dirección hace que las ruedas del auto, que no están en contacto con la mano, se muevan en la misma dirección del volante, ¿no es verdad? (Prema Vahini, Cap. 53) Many argue about how discipline (as described in the scriptures) can result in the dawn of knowledge. Aren’t these mere bodily limitations, they ask. Knowledge can arise only by the realisation of the principle that guarantees self-realisation, they argue. But this line of thought is based on a big mistake. Through these physical regulations, traits (vasanas) are destroyed and concentration is established. One-pointedness is essential to establish spiritual wisdom firmly in the heart, and this one-pointedness can easily be gained by bodily disciplines and austerities (tapas) prescribed in the Upanishads. External control helps internal control in many ways. To succeed in external controls indeed is more difficult than to achieve success in controlling the internal! In a working car, the wheels will always follow the direction of the steering. A turn of the steering wheel in one’s hand in any direction makes the wheels of the car, which are not in your hand, move in the same direction of the steering wheel – isn’t it? MENSAJE DEL DIA 21 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Para llegar al conocimiento de la rectitud (dharma), primero, deben recibir entrenamiento de personas sabias, imbuidas de rectitud. Luego, deben aspirar a purificarse (Atma shuddhi) y practicar la verdad (sathya). En tercer lugar, deben comprender el valor de conocer las Escrituras (Vedas), que son la voz de Dios. Cuando estos tres pasos han sido completados, van a entender claramente la verdad, y distinguirla de la falsedad. Esta búsqueda se debe hacer en un espíritu de hermandad y cooperación. Todos tienen derecho a alcanzar sabiduría espiritual. Todos deben estar igualmente ansiosos de descubrir la verdad y disfrutar sus beneficios. Todas las opiniones deben ser medidas con la vara del dharma, de la bondad universal (sarvaloka-hitha). (Dharma Vahini, Cap. 13) To attain the knowledge of righteousness (dharma), first, you must receive training under wise people, who are imbued with righteousness (dharma). Next, you must aspire to purify yourself (Atma shuddhi) and practice truth (sathya). Thirdly, you must realize the value of knowledge of the scriptures (Vedas), which is the voice of God. When these three steps are completed, you will clearly understand the truth and discriminate it from untruth. This enquiry into truth must be done in amity and cooperation. Everyone is entitled to attain spiritual wisdom. Everyone must be equally eager to discover the truth and benefit from it. All opinions must be tested on the touchstone of dharma, of universal goodness (sarvaloka-hitha). The principles that pass this test alone must be chosen and practiced, and shared with the world. Then will help humanity to progress. Then, everyone will develop joy and happiness in equal measure. All of you must use this method and perform noble and pure deeds consistently. MENSAJE DEL DIA 20 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM El camino de la entrega es como la vida de un gatito. Así como el gatito deposita todos sus cuidados sobre la madre gata, el devoto debe colocar su completa confianza en el Señor. La madre gata sostiene al gatito en su boca y lo transporta a salvo en todo momento, incluso a través de pasajes muy estrechos. Así también, el devoto debe depositar todas sus cargas sobre el Señor, y entregarse totalmente a Su voluntad. Lakshmana es un gran ejemplo de este camino. Para servir a Rama, Lakshmana renunció a todos los obstáculos que había en su camino, como dinero, esposa, madre, hogar, e incluso sueño y alimento, durante largos catorce años. Él sentía que Rama era su todo, su felicidad y su alegría; que Rama le otorgaría todo lo que necesitase, y que el propósito de su vida era sólo seguirlo, servirlo y entregarle su voluntad. Si ustedes depositan todas sus cargas sobre el Señor, y Lo adoran de modo continuo y sostenido, Él ciertamente les proveerá de todo lo que necesiten. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 51) The path of surrender is like the life of a kitten. Just as the kitten places all its burdens in the mother cat, so too the devotee must place their complete trust on the Lord. The mother cat holds the kitten in its mouth and transports it safely at all times, including very narrow passages. So too, the devotee must place all their burdens on the Lord and surrender fully to His will. Lakshmana is a great exemplar of this path. To serve Rama, Lakshmana renounced all obstacles in his path, like wealth, wife, mother, home, even sleep and food for full fourteen years. He felt that Rama was his all, his happiness and joy, that Rama would grant everything he needed, and his life’s purpose was only to follow Him, serve Him, and surrender his will to Him. If you place all burdens on the Lord and adore Him continuously and consistently, He will certainly provide everything you need. MENSAJE DEL DIA 19 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM La devoción tiene que ser continua e ininterrumpida, como el flujo del aceite de un recipiente a otro. Sin amor (prema), no se puede adquirir nada en este mundo. Sólo cuando hay amor, puede a su vez el apego (anuraga) crear el deseo de proteger y cuidar. En el camino de la devoción basada en el esfuerzo propio, también llamado «camino del monito», el cachorrro tiene que confiar en su propia fuerza para protegerse: dondequiera que la madre salte, el cachorro tiene que sujetarse fuertemente al vientre de la madre, y no soltarse aunque se lo trate de separar. Así también, el devoto tiene que superar las pruebas a manos del Señor, y aferrarse al nombre del Señor en todo momento y bajo cualquier condición, incansablemente, sin el menor rastro de disgusto, soportando el ridículo y las críticas del mundo, y conquistando los sentimientos de vergüenza y derrota. Este tipo de devoción fue practicado por el pequeño Prahlada. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 51) Devotion has to be continuous and uninterrupted like the flow of oil from one vessel to another. Without love (prema), nothing in this world can be acquired. Only when there is love, does attachment (anuraga) in its turn create the desire to protect and guard. In the path of self-effort based devotion, also called as ‘young-one-of-the-monkey’ path, the child has to rely on its own strength to protect itself — wherever the mother might jump about, the child has to attach itself fast to the mother’s belly and not release its hold, even if pulled apart! So too, the devotee has to stand the tests at the hands of the Lord and hold on to the Lord’s name at all times and under all conditions, tirelessly, without the slightest trace of dislike or disgust, bearing the ridicule and the criticism of the world and conquering the feelings of shame and defeat. This type of devotion was practiced by little child Prahlada. Con esas dotes, busquen las cuatro metas (purusharthas). Avancen por el camino del Señor, adhiriendo estrictamente a las demandas de la verdad. Ese es el propósito del don del talento. Sólo aquellos dotados de la vista pueden ver las cosas; los desprovistos de ese sentido, no tienen esa suerte. Así también, sólo pueden ver al Señor aquellos dotados de la verdad, y que ansían las cuatro metas; los demás están ciegos. El Señor también ha dado a la gente instrumentos para que desarrollen su intelecto y discernimiento. Si los usan bien, y procuran percibir a Dios dentro de ellos mismos, el Señor agregará en ellos nuevos talentos y fuentes de poder, porque Él está lleno de gracia hacia aquellos que se esfuerzan. Cuando las personas busquen seguir el dharma, la verdad también se les revelará. (Dharma Vahini, Capítulo 13) Consider how much talent the Lord has given to people. With that endowment, seek the four goals (purusharthas). Move forward on the path to the Lord, adhering strictly to the demands of truth. That is the purpose of the gift of talent. Only those gifted with eyesight can see things; those bereft of sight do not have that fortune. So too, only those gifted with truth, longing for the four goals and adherence to dharma, can see the Lord; all others are blind. The Lord has also given people instruments for developing their intellect and discrimination. If they use them well and try to realise God within themselves, the Lord will add unto them fresh talent and new sources of power, for He is full of grace toward the struggling. When people seek to follow dharma, the truth will also reveal itself to them. MENSAJE DEL DIA 17 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM El Señor protegerá de todos los modos posibles, y en todo momento, a quienes Lo adoran con pura e inmaculada devoción (bhakti), como una madre protege a sus bebés, una vaca salva a su ternero del peligro, y los párpados protegen a los ojos, sin esfuerzo y automáticamente. Cuando el infante crece hasta ser adulto, la madre no presta tanta atención a su seguridad. Así también, el Señor no presta mucha atención al sabio (jnani). El devoto que adora alguna forma (saguna bhakta), como un bebé del Señor, no tiene fuerzas, excepto la fuerza del Señor. Para el alma concienciada (jnani), su propia fuerza es suficiente. Por lo tanto, hasta que ustedes puedan confiar en sus propias fuerzas, deben ser infantes en manos del Señor, como devotos de la forma del Señor. Nadie puede llegar a ser devoto del Supremo Sin Forma (nirguna bhakta), sin haber sido devoto de la forma. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 48) The Lord will protect in all ways and at all times those who worship Him in complete and pure uncontaminated devotion (bhakti), just as a mother protects her infants, a cow saves her calf from danger, and the eyelids guard the eyes effortlessly and automatically. When the infant grows up into an adult, the mother won’t pay so much attention to its safety. So too, the Lord doesn’t pay much attention to the wise one (jnani). The devotee who worships any form (saguna bhakta), like an infant of the Lord, has no strength except the strength of the Lord. For the realized soul (jnani), their own strength is enough. Therefore, until one can rely on one’s own strength, one must be an infant in the Lord’s hands, just like a devotee of the Lord’s form. No one can become a devotee of the Formless Supreme (nirguna bhakta) without having been a devotee of the form. MENSAJE DEL DIA 16 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Confiar en la rectitud (Dharma) les asegurará la felicidad, y la incrementará. El Dharma puede eliminar el rencor que puedan desarrollar hacia otros. No permitirá que se llenen de orgullo cuando otro sufre o está apenado. ¿Podría esa maldad conferirles felicidad? Recuerden que sólo pueden ser felices cuando todos están felices. Tienen que mantener a la mente y la conciencia firmes en el camino del bienestar de toda la humanidad (sarva-manava-sukha). El Dharma brillará e iluminará, sólo en la persona que sirva a todos y confiera alegría a todos. Una persona así recibirá, no sólo la gracia del Señor, sino también el privilegio excepcional de fundirse en Él. Toda vez que ustedes tomen de alguien, o den a alguien,cuiden de no transgredir los límites del dharma. No vayan en contra de sus mandatos. Síganlo en todo momento, en la seguridad de que esta es su tarea obligada. Llenen cada gota de sus energías con la esencia del dharma, y esfuércense por progresar más y más por ese camino, cada día que pasa. (Dharma Vahini, Capítulo 13) Dependence on righteousness (dharma) will ensure your happiness and increase it. It can remove the spite that one develops toward others. It will not allow you to swell with pride when another suffers or grieves. Can such wickedness confer happiness on you? Remember you can be happy only when all are happy! The mind and conscience have to be kept straight on the path of welfare of all mankind (sarva-manava-sukha). Dharma will shine and illumine only in the person who serves all and confers joy on all. Such a person will receive not only the grace of the Lord but also the unique privilege of merging in Him. Whenever you give or take anything from anyone, see that you do not transgress the boundaries of dharma. Do not go against its commands. Follow it at all times, believing this to be your bounden duty. Fill every ounce of your energy with the essence of dharma and endeavour to progress in that path, more and more, with every passing day. Sus vidas pueden compararse a un trozo de caña de azúcar. Como la caña, que es dura y tiene muchos nudos, la vida está llena de dificultades. Estas dificultades deben ser superadas, para disfrutar de la bienaventuranza de la Divinidad, así como la caña de azúcar debe ser exprimida y su jugo convertido en jaggery para disfrutar de su permanente dulzura. La dicha perdurable se adquiere sólo al superar pruebas y tribulaciones. El oro no puede ser convertido en una atractiva joya sin fundirlo en un crisol y darle una hermosa forma. Cuando Me dirijo a los devotos como Bangaaru (dorado), los considero muy preciosos. Sólo atravesando las vicisitudes de la vida con autodominio, pueden ustedes adquirir más valor. Nunca se permitan el ser superados por las dificultades. Cultiven la confianza en sí mismos, y la firme fe en Dios. Con fe inconmovible, dedíquense a servir al prójimo, y lleven vidas ejemplares. Like the cane, which is hard and has many knots, life is full of difficulties. These difficulties must be overcome to enjoy the bliss of the Divine, just as sugarcane must be crushed and its juice converted into jaggery to enjoy its permanent sweetness. Enduring bliss is got only by overcoming trials and tribulations. Gold cannot be made into an attractive jewel without melting it in a crucible and converting it into a beautiful shape. When I address devotees as Bangaaru (golden one), I consider you very precious! Only by going through the vicissitudes of life with forbearance you become most valuable. MENSAJE DEL DIA 14 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Una vez, cuando Narada preguntó al Señor Rama acerca de la naturaleza de Sus servidores y aspirantes espirituales, el Señor respondió: «Mis servidores están llenos de amor; siempre se guían por la rectitud y la verdad; sus corazones se derriten de compasión; evitan el pecado, y renuncian alegremente a todo; comen con moderación, se dedican a hacer el bien a los demás, y carecen de egoísmo y dudas. No prestan oídos a las alabanzas, pero están dispuestos a escuchar los elogios de lo bueno que haya en los demás. Los aspirantes espirituales son aquellos cuyo esfuerzo está puesto en adquirir tales cualidades, y poseer aquel tipo de carácter. Cualquiera que se dedique a repetir el nombre del Señor tiene control mental y disciplina, fe, paciencia, camaradería, amabilidad y alegría, así como un amor puro hacia Mí: una persona así Me es muy querida. Todos aquellos que, con discernimiento y renuncia, humildad y sabiduría, tengan conciencia del conocimiento de la Realidad, que estén inmersos en la contemplación de Mi juego divino (leela), que estén concentrados todo el tiempo en Mi nombre, y derramen lágrimas de amor toda vez que el nombre del Señor emane de cualquier boca: estos son Mis genuinos devotos». Así respondió Sri Rama a Narada. (Prema Vahini, Capítulo 48) Once when Narada asked Lord Rama about the nature of His servitors and of spiritual aspirants, the Lord answered, “My servitors are full of love; they always stand by righteousness and truth; their hearts melt with mercy; they avoid sin and renounce everything gladly; they eat in moderation, engage in doing good to others, and have no selfishness and doubts. They won’t lend their ears to flattery but are eager to listen to the praise of the good in others. Spiritual aspirants are those who endeavour to acquire such qualities and possess such a character. Anyone engaged in repeating the Lord’s name has self-control and discipline, faith, patience, comradeship, kindness, and joy as well as unalloyed love towards Me — such a person is dear to Me. Whoever with discrimination and renunciation, humility and wisdom is aware of the knowledge of Reality; who is immersed in the contemplation of My divine play (leela), dwells on My name at all times and sheds tears of love whenever the Lord’s name is heard from any lip —these are My genuine devotees.” Thus did Sri Rama answer Narada. MENSAJE DEL DIA 13 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Para todas las acciones, el inspirador, ejecutante y experimentador es el Dios Sol. Para las personas atrapadas en una existencia insignificante, a través de una ronda interminable de actividades fútiles, el Dios Sol se destaca como ejemplo de servicio incansable y desinteresado. Él nunca se toma un respiro del trabajo. Está por encima de la alabanza y la censura. Cumple con sus tareas con absoluta ecuanimidad. Todo lo que hace es sólo para el bienestar del mundo, nunca para causar daño. Inspírense en el Dios Sol. El mundo no puede sobrevivir sin el Sol. La vida en la Tierra es posible sólo gracias al Sol. El Sol enseña al ser humano la lección de la humilde devoción al deber, sin vanidad en absoluto. El Sol es para todos el ejemplo supremo del cumplimiento del deber con devoción y dedicación. Cumplir con el propio deber es el más elevado Yoga, como señalara Krishna en el Gita. Que las acciones y pensamientos de ustedes sean buenos. Entonces experimentarán la Bienaventuranza Divina. For people caught up in a meaningless existence and going through an endless round of futile activities, the Sun-God stands out as the exemplar of tireless and selfless service. He enjoys no respite from work. He is above praise and censure. He carries on his duties with absolute equanimity. Everything he does is only for the well-being of the world and not to cause any harm. Draw inspiration from Sun-God. The world cannot survive without the Sun. Life on earth is possible only because of the Sun. The Sun teaches man the lesson of humble devotion to duty, without any conceit. The Sun is the supreme example for everyone that one should do one’s duty with devotion and dedication. Doing one's duty is the greatest Yoga, as pointed out by Krishna in the Gita. Let your actions and thoughts be good. You will then experience the Bliss Divine. MENSAJE DEL DIA 12 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM La mayor de las enfermedades es la ausencia de paz. Cuando la mente esté tranquila, su cuerpo estará sano. Así que todo el que anhela una buena salud debe prestar atención a sus emociones, sentimientos y motivos que los animan. Así como lavan su ropa, deben lavar su mente para liberarla de la suciedad todos los días. Para limpiar su mente deben frecuentar buenas compañías y evitar elementos sucios, como la mentira, la injusticia, la indisciplina, la crueldad, el odio, etc. La verdad, la justicia, la paz, el amor - éstos forman los elementos limpios. Si se inhala el aire puro de los elementos limpios, su mente estará libre de los malos bacilos y serán mentalmente resistentes y fuertes físicamente. Como dijo Vivekananda, deben tener nervios de acero y músculos de hierro. Como inquebrantable resolución, deben rebosar de esperanza y alegría; no muestren desesperación ni abatimiento. (Divino Discurso, 21 de septiembre de 1960) The greatest disease is the absence of peace. When the mind is peaceful, your body will be healthy. So everyone who craves for good health must pay attention to their emotions, feelings, and motives that animates them. Just as you wash clothes, you must wash your mind free from dirt every day. To cleanse your mind you should mix in good company and avoid dirt elements like falsehood, injustice, indiscipline, cruelty, hate, etc. Truth, righteousness, peace, love — these form the clean elements. If you inhale the pure air of clean elements, your mind will be free from evil bacilli and you will be mentally sturdy and physically strong. As Vivekananda said, you should have nerves of steel and muscles of iron. You must brim in hope and joy as your unshakable resolution, not display despair and dejection. Esta combinación se refleja en los deportes y juegos. Aunque puede haber diferencias entre las naciones en su comida y sus hábitos recreativos, el espíritu de armonía y unidad que se muestra en el deporte es un ejemplo gratificante para todos. Es una cualidad distintiva de los deportes que las diferencias se olviden y las personas participen en los juegos en un espíritu divino de amistad y camaradería. Although there may be differences among nations in their food and recreational habits, the spirit of harmony and unity displayed in sports is a gratifying example to all. It is a distinctive quality of sports that differences are forgotten and persons engage themselves in games in a divine spirit of friendliness and camaraderie. Sports help the players not only to improve their health but also to experience joy. Students, however, should not be content with realising these benefits. It is equally essential to promote purity of the mind and develop large heartedness. True humanness blossoms only when the body, the mind and the spirit are developed harmoniously. MENSAJE DEL DIA 10 de enero de 2016 Mensaje de la Pizarra de Prashanti Nilayam OM SRI SAI RAM Muchos no invierten tiempo para entender el carácter sagrado y el valor de su cultura. 'Cultura' significa aquello que santifica al mundo, que realza la grandeza y la gloria de un país, y que ayuda a elevar al individuo y a la sociedad a un nivel superior de existencia. La observancia de la moral en la vida diaria, la divinización de todas las acciones y pensamientos relacionados con la vida, y la adhesión a los ideales - todos estos juntos constituyen la cultura. La cultura contribuye al refinamiento de la vida. El proceso de refinamiento o transformación es esencial para mejorar la utilidad de cualquier objeto. Por ejemplo, el arroz con cáscara tiene que ser molido y la cáscara tiene que ser eliminada antes de que el arroz sea apto para cocinar. Este es el proceso conocido como Samskriti o transformación. Esto significa deshacerse de los elementos no deseados y asegurar los elementos deseables. En cuanto a las personas, Samskriti (cultura) significa deshacerse de las malas cualidades y cultivar las virtudes. Una persona culta es aquella que tiene buenos pensamientos y buena conducta. The observance of morality in daily life, divinisation of all actions and thoughts related to life, and adherence to ideals - all these together constitute culture. Culture contributes to the refinement of life. The process of refinement or transformation is essential for improving the utility of any object. For instance, paddy has to be milled and the husk has to be removed before the rice is fit for cooking. This is the process known as Samskriti or transformation. This means getting rid of the unwanted elements and securing the desirable elements. With regards to people, Samskriti (culture) means getting rid of bad qualities and cultivating virtues. A cultured person is one who has good thoughts and good conduct.
