Janmashtami es el sagrado día que marca la auspiciosa aparición o el Advenimiento del Absoluto Sin Forma, Sin Nombre y Atemporal en una Forma Viviente y Amorosa. Lo Divino apareció como Krishna para encantar a la humanidad a través de Sus travesuras, Su juego, Su canto y dulzura y para instruir al género humano a través de Sus enseñanzas y gracia. Lo que uno ha de hacer en este auspicioso día es el sumirse en los pensamientos enaltecedores centrados en torno al Señor en esta forma, y dar el primer paso o proseguir con los ya dados por la senda espiritual. Hagan uso de tan sagrados días como puntos de partida para propiciar a la Forma de la Deidad que hayan elegido para venerar, la Forma que responde a sus más íntimos anhelos. No le adscriban algo malo a ningún día. Cada día será bueno si lo viven por Dios. Cada estrella será buena siempre que su luz guíe sus pasos hacia Dios. Este es Mi consejo para todos este día.

Janmashtami is the sacred day which marks the auspicious arrival of the Advent of the Formless, Nameless, and Timeless Absolute into a Living and Loving Form. The Divine appeared as Krishna to charm humanity through His pranks, His play, His song and sweetness and to instruct mankind through His teachings and grace. What one has to do on this auspicious day is to dwell on the elevating thoughts centering round the Lord in this form and take the first or further steps in the spiritual path. Use such sacred days as starting points for propitiating the Form of Godhead which you have chosen for offering homage, the Form which appeals to your innermost yearnings. Do not ascribe evil to any day. Every day is good when you spend it for God. Every star is good, provided its light guides your feet to God. This is My advice to you, this day.

Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Sri Krishna. Krishna was born in the Dwapara yuga, over five thousand years ago, in Mathura, on the eight day of the dark half of shravana.
Janmashtami (also called Gokulashtami) is a very colourful and joyous celebration in India. In Prasanthi Nilayam, the Mandir transforms itself into another ‘Brindavan’ of the times of Lord Sri Krishna when as a child He frolicked in the company of His cowherd friends.
