PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 9 DE DICIEMBRE 2012.


Los antiguos sabios que decidían acerca de los muchos festivales que celebramos hoy en día, lo hacían manteniendo un elevado propósito in mente. Querían que absorbiéramos el sentido interno y que usáramos tal día como un paso en sadhana (empeño espiritual), como un recordatorio del trayecto que cada persona ha de emprender sola hasta los pies del Señor. El festival de Dasara, por ejemplo, celebra la victoria de las fuerzas del bien por sobre las del mal que se oponen al avance de uno hacia el amor y la luz. Deben recordarse a sí mismos que las fuerzas del bien están combatiendo a las del mal en cada ser viviente, y que si éstos confiaran tan sólo en la magna Fuerza Divina que fomenta y defiende al Universo, pueden ganar fácilmente y alcanzar la meta.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY _9 DECEMBER 2012.


The ancient sages who decided upon the many festivals that we celebrate today, had a high purpose in mind when they did so. They want us to imbibe the inner meaning and use each such day as a step in saadhana (spiritual efforts), as a reminder of the journey which each person has to undertake alone to the feet of the Lord. The festival of Dasara for instance, celebrates the victory of the forces of good over the evil ones which resist one’s progress towards love and light. You must remind yourself that the forces of good are combating the forces of evil in every living being, and if they only rely on the great Divine Force that fosters and fends the Universe, they can easily win and reach the goal.

The ancient sages who decided upon the many festivals that we celebrate today, had a high purpose in mind when they did so. They want us to imbibe the inner meaning and use each such day as a step in saadhana (spiritual efforts), as a reminder of the journey which each person has to undertake alone to the feet of the Lord. The festival of Dasara for instance, celebrates the victory of the forces of good over the evil ones which resist one’s progress towards love and light. You must remind yourself that the forces of good are combating the forces of evil in every living being, and if they only rely on the great Divine Force that fosters and fends the Universe, they can easily win and reach the goal.

De oude wijzen die de huidige festivals bepaald hebben, hadden er een hoger doel mee voor ogen. Ze willen dat we er de diepere betekenis van beleven en ieder festival beschouwen als een spirituele oefening (sadhana), als een herinnering aan de weg naar God die ieder van ons individueel heeft af te leggen. Het Dasarafestival bijvoorbeeld viert de overwinning van het licht over de duisternis, omdat die alle waarheidsliefde in de weg staat. Wees je ervan bewust dat in ieder levend wezen het positieve een gevecht levert met het negatieve. Als je je volledig richt op de Goddelijke Kracht die heel ons Universum beschermt en ondersteunt, zal je zeker de overwinning behalen en het doel bereiken.

Eles queriam que absorvêssemos o significado interno para usar cada dia como um passo na prática espiritual (Sadhana), como um lembrete da jornada que cada pessoa deve realizar sozinho aos pés do Senhor. O festival de Dasara, por exemplo, celebra a vitória das forças do bem sobre os maus que lutam contra o progresso da pessoa no sentido do amor e da luz. Você deve lembrar-se que as forças do bem estão combatendo as forças do mal em cada ser vivo, e se elas só dependem da Grande Força Divina que promove e defende o Universo, elas podem facilmente vencer e alcançar a meta.

Vogliono che assorbire il significato interiore e l'uso di ogni giorno, come un passo nella disciplina spirituale (sforzi spirituali), come ricordo del viaggio che ogni persona deve assumersi da soli ai piedi del Signore. La festa di Dasara per esempio, celebra la vittoria delle forze del bene su quelle del male che resistono proprio progresso verso l'amore e la luce. Dovete ricordare che le forze del bene sono la lotta contro le forze del male in ogni essere vivente, e se solo contare sulla grande forza divina che promuove e difende l'Universo, possono facilmente vincere e raggiungere l'obiettivo.

De gamla vise som beslutas de många festivaler som vi firar i dag, hade en hög syfte i åtanke när de gjorde det.
