Si los sentidos se mantienen en su lugar, no hay razón para temer. Sólo cuando comienzan a contactar a los objetos del entorno, se producen las distracciones gemelas de la alegría y el pesar. Cuando escuchan a alguien que los esté difamando, experimentan ira y dolor, mas nada de esto ocurre si las palabras no llegaran a sus oídos. La atracción de los sentidos hacia los objetos es la causa de este sufrimiento. y de su par la alegría. Mientras exista el mundo, no puede evitarse el contacto con los objetos sensoriales; de manera similar mientras uno tenga la carga de los nacimientos previos, uno no podrá escaparle al complejo alegría-pesar. Mas, ¿de que serviría que esperen hasta que se calmen las olas antes de internarse en el mar para un baño? El sabio aprende el truco de eludir los golpes de las aguas agitadas y el arrastre de las olas que retroceden. Lleven la armadura de la fortaleza (thithiksha) y enfrenten los golpes de la buena y la mala fortuna. Thithiksha significa ecuanimidad frente a los opuestos, vale decir arrostrar con decisión la dualidad.

If the senses keep to their places there is no reason to fear. It is only when they start to contact the objects around, the twin distractions of joy and grief are produced. When you hear someone defaming you, you experience anger and grief; but there is no such agitation if the words do not fall on your ears. The attraction of the senses to the objects is the cause of grief and its twin, joy. So long as the world is there, sense-object contact cannot be avoided; similarly till the time one has the burden of previous births, one cannot escape the joy-grief complex. But of what use is it to wait till the waves are silenced, before you wade into the sea for a shower? The wise one learns the trick of avoiding the blows of the onrushing waters and the drag of the receding waves. Wear the armour of fortitude (thithiksha), and weather the blows of good and bad fortune. Thithiksha means equanimity in the face of opposites, that is, putting up boldly with duality.

Bhagavan - nuestra Madre Divina
Una vez, cuando Swami estaba dando su discurso en Madrás hace unos años, de repente un niño, de apenas un año, comenzó a lamentarse en voz alta.
El público se distraía. Pasaron unos segundos.
Todo el mundo vio a Swami sonriendo. Swami extendió su mano abierta hacia el niño, pero, de repente se cierra en puño apretado, la abrió y dijo: "Una pequeña moneda de 25 paisa cayó en la garganta de ese pequeño bebé y tuve que quitarla. Aquí está. "
A pesar de que el pequeño estaba en el regazo de la madre, la pobre madre no sabía qué problema tenia su hijo.
Sai esta mas cerca de nosotros que nuestra madre física.

Bhagawan - our Divine Mother
Once when Swami was delivering His discourse in Madras a few years back, suddenly a baby, barely a year old started to wail loudly. The audiences were distracted. A few seconds passed.
Everyone saw Swami smiling. Swami extended His open arm towards the child but, suddenly closed it into tight fist, opened it and said, “A small 25 paisa coin got struck in that little baby’s throat and I had to remove it. Here it is.”
Even though the little baby was in the mother’s lap, the poor mother did not know what had gone wrong with her child.
Sai is closer to us than our physical mother.

Ambos son necesarios para la felicidad. El hombre busca la felicidad, porque él es originario y verdaderamente libre, sino que ademas es inmortal y por lo que busca superar la muerte.

You have come in order to reach God, remember that. "Why do you go to Madhura-Brindaavan, to Thirupathi, to Puttaparthi?" people stop you on the way and ask. Nobody asks you "Why do you take food?" In fact, one has to seek God just as one seeks food. Both are necessary for happiness. Man seeks happiness, for he is originally and truly free; he is immortal and so he seeks to overcome death.

Una vez un estudiante le pidió a Bhagavan que lo bendiga que él tenía que viajar al extranjero para recibir una Educación Superior , Bhagavan dijo bellamente en telugu "Manchidi Bangaru .... ekkadikayna Vellu .... kani servicio cheyyi ..! "
Lo que significa: "puedes ir a donde quieras ir - pero no de servicio "
