La raíz de la educación de satisface a sí misma en el fruto de la virtud. El ganar un suculento salario no es lo principal que uno debiera esperar de la educación. La meta debiera ser el cultivo de virtudes. La educación representa la raíz del árbol de la vida. El afecto que el individuo desarrolle hacia su familia y parientes, los objetos del mundo, los ideales y las metas, los caprichos y las modas – esto es lo que forma las ramas y los ganchos. Los botones que el árbol produce representan la inteligencia y sus manifestaciones. Estos botones de flores rinden el fruto de la alegría (anandham). La dulzura que entrega este fruto es el carácter. La esencia del carácter es la virtud. Es en la virtud en donde se justifica a sí mismo el árbol de la vida.

The root of education fulfills itself in the fruit of virtue. Earning a fat salary is not the chief thing one should expect from education. The goal should be the cultivation of virtues. Education is the root of the tree of life. The affection which the individual develops towards kith and kin, the objects of the world, the ideals and the goals, the fancies and fashions - these form the branches and twigs. The blossoms which the tree produces are the intelligence and its manifestations. These flower blossoms yield the fruit of joy (anandham). The sweetness this fruit confers is character. The essence of character is virtue. It is in virtue that the tree of life justifies itself.

We would like to express our wellwishes to all Muslim devotees in the festivity of Eid Al Adha.
There are variations on the starting date of Eid al Adah according to the different places it is celebrated.
Eid Al Adha commemorates Ibrahim’s (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son to God and highlights the value of true sacrifice.
