PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 7 DE SEPTIEMBRE 2011

Enormes cantidades de agua son convertidas en vapor por los calientes rayos del sol, reunidas en nubes y devueltas a la tierra como lluvia. Esto ayuda a las cosechas de granos y cubre de verde vegetación el suelo. Lo asombroso es que pese a la tremenda captación y chaparrón, el nivel del océano no baja ni en una pulgada. Además, aunque miles de ríos vivos vacian sus aguas en los mares, no se ve que su nivel aumente. De manera similar, las personas que han complementado su conocimiento de los textos escriturales con la consciencia de su validez adquirida a través de la práctica de las leccions que contienen, nunca son afectadas por alabanzas o críticas, cualquiera sea su procedencia o cantidad. Sus corazones se mantendrán puros, inalterados y calmos.

Enormous quantities of water are turned into steam by the hot rays of the sun, bundled into clouds, and returned to the earth as rain. This helps the harvesting of grain and renders the land green with vegetation. The wonder is that in spite of this tremendous uptake and downpour, the level of the ocean does not go down even by an inch. Furthermore, even though thousands of live rivers pour their waters into the seas, the level is not seen to increase. Similarly, the persons who have supplemented their knowledge of the scriptural texts with the awareness of their validity acquired by practising the lessons contained in them are never affected by praise or blame, whatever the source and quantity. Their hearts will stay pure, unaffected and calm.

Cada ser humano es un mensajero de Dios. El hombre no debe perder su vida en sólo comer, beber y dormir. Si lo hace, es una mancha en la propia naturaleza humana. Toda actividad del hombre ha de reflejar el mensaje divino.

Tu ves muchas personas que sufren. ¿De qué manera estás ayudando?. 

Jesús se opuso a la práctica del sacrificio de animales en Jerusalén. Como resultado de ello tuvo que enfrentarse a pruebas y tribulaciones. 

Las personas que ayudan, no dañan. Las dualidades de la vida, como el dolor y el placer, van de la mano.

Every single human being is a messenger of God. Man should not waste his life in merely eating, drinking and sleeping. Doing so is a blot on human nature itself. Every activity of man should reflect the divine message.

You see many people suffering. In what way are you helping them?. Jesus opposed the practice of animal sacrifice in Jerusalem. As a result he had to face trials and tribulations. People who help are put to harm. The dualities of life, such as pain and pleasure, go hand in hand.

PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 6 DE SEPTIEMBRE 2011

Las tendencias impuras le llevan a uno a vicios tales como ansiar ver cosas que apelan a los deseos bajos; comer platillos llenos de Rajas (pasión); beber intoxicantes que le arruinan a uno la personalidad al desarrollar ira, decepción, codicia, vanidad, engaño, odio, envidia etc. Tales tendencias impuras son de tres tipos : impulsos mundanos, impulsos de erudición o intelectuales e impulsos físicos o corporales. Los impulsos físicos llevan a la gente a desear un bello físico, una constitución fuerte y robusta, una piel tersa que nunca sea desfigurada por arrugas y músculos marcados y duros. Los impulsos intelectuales le impulsan a uno a ansiar el ser conocido como un experto sin rival y desear la derrota de todo competidor en el campo. Y, finalmente, los impulsos mundanos le hacen a uno ansiar gloria, poder, autoriad personal y pompa. Todos ellos son impulsos. Ellos les ligan al Samsara (la rueda del nacer y morir) y les atan a esta Tierra.

Impure tendencies lead one to such vices as craving to see things that cater to the lower desires; eating dishes that are full of Rajas (passion); drinking intoxicants that ruin one’s personality by developing anger, delusion, greed, conceit, deceit, hatred, envy, etc. Such impure tendencies are of three types: worldly impulses, scholarly or intellectual impulses, and physical or bodily impulses. The physical impulses make people desire a beautiful physique, a strong sturdy build, a glossy skin that will never be disfigured by wrinkles, and round hard muscles. The scholarly impulses prompt one to crave being known as an unrivalled expert and to crave the defeat of every competitor in the field. And lastly, the worldly impulses make one crave glory, power, personal authority, and pomp. They are all impulses. They bind you to Samsara (the wheel of birth and death) and tie you down to this Earth.

PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 5 DE SEPTIEMBRE 2011

¡Docentes! Deben inspirar a sus alumnos con su ejemplo. Debieran combinar la práctica con el precepto, como el instructor físico quien demuestra los ejercicios que los estudiantes deben llevar a cabo. Impartan a sus alumnos las enseñanzas de grandes y nobles almas. La educación debiera servir para la elevación. No debiera ser el obtener grados académicos para ganarse la vida, sino que una preparación para una buena vida. Debieran enseñarle a los estudiantes disciplina, observancia de la humildad y el respeto, e instilar en ellos el espíritu de servicio a la sociedad y el sentido de compañerismo. Hagan que sus muchachos se embeban de confianza y coraje. Aúnenlos a través del amor. No dejen lugar para la ira, los celos o el odio en ustedes. Enseñen a los muchachos las tres Ps : Pureza, Paciencia y Perserverancia. Armados con estas tres cualidades, sus alumnos podrán proteger mejor a la nación que cualquier ejército con armas atómicas. Cuando son protegidas la Verdad y la Probidad, la nación estará segura.

Teachers! You must inspire your students by your example. You should combine practice with precept, like the physical instructor who demonstrates the exercises the students should perform. Impart to your students the teachings of great and noble souls. Education should be for elevation. It should not be to obtain degrees to earn a living, but should be a preparation for a good life. You should teach students: discipline, observance of humility and respect, and instill in them the spirit of service to society and the sense of fellowship. Make your children imbibe confidence and courage. Unify them through love. Let there be no room for anger, jealousy or hatred within you. Teach the children the three P’s: Purity, Patience, and Perseverance. Armed with these three qualities, your students can protect the nation better than any army or atom bombs. When Truth and Righteousness are protected, the nation will be secure.

Si tu no tiene fe en Dios, en quien va a tener fe? - Bhagavan

Algunas personas declaran "no tengo fe en Dios". Esta es una afirmación sin sentido. Si no tienen fe en Dios, en quien más tienen fe? Es sólo cuando uno desarrolla fe en Dios, que puede tener fe en todo lo demás. Por lo tanto, uno tiene que desarrollar fe en Dios, en primera instancia. Con fe en Dios, uno puede alcanzar el éxito en todos sus esfuerzos. Aquel que tiene fe en Dios será capaz de desarrollar la fe en cada individuo. Una persona debe desarrollar una firme convicción de que Dios es inmanente en cada ser viviente. Los Upanishads declaran Isavasyam idam sarvam (el universo entero está permeado por Dios) y Ishvara Sarva Bhutanam (Dios es el morador de todos los seres). Dios es inmanente en cada ser como "Nammakammu" (la fe). Por lo tanto, uno tiene que cultivar la fe en Dios, como su primer y principal deber.

If you have no faith in God, in whom will you have faith in ? - Bhagawan

Some people declare “I have no faith in God”. This is a meaningless statement. If they have no faith in God, on whom else do they have faith? It is only when one develops faith in God that he can have faith in everything else. Therefore, one has to develop faith in God, in the first instance. With faith in God, one can achieve success in all his endeavours. One who has faith in God will be able to develop faith in every individual. Such a person will develop a firm conviction that God is immanent in every living being. The Upanishads declare Isavasyam Idam Sarvam (the entire universe is permeated by God) and Easwara Sarva Bhutanam (God is the indweller of all beings). God is immanent in every being as “Nammakammu” (faith). Therefore, one has to cultivate faith in God, as his first and foremost duty
