PENSAMIENTO DEL DÍA – 19 DE AGOSTO 2011

Todos debieran cultivar buenos pensamientos y desechar todo sentimiento negativo. Dios no siente aversión hacia nadie. No envidia a nadie. Ni siente antipatía por nadie. Tampoco tiene favoritos. La gracia que uno reciba es resultado de sus propios sentimientos. "Bhaavaathaeetham Thriguna Rahitham" – Lo Divino está allende sentimientos y atributos. Él es "Ekam Sathyam Vimalam Achalam" – El Uno, Verdadero, Puro, Inmutable. Él es "Sarvadhee Saakshibhuutham" – Testigo Eterno en todas las mentes. Cuando los devotos se quejan hoy de por qué son castigados de diversos modos por el Señor, no se dan cuenta que no es Dios quien los castiga. Sus propios temores y caprichos son la causa de sus problemas. Es un genuino devoto únicamente aquel que reconoce que los sufrimientos que uno padezca son consecuencia de sus propios malos pensamientos y acciones.

Everyone should cultivate good thoughts and eschew all bad feelings. God has no dislike for anyone. He envies no one. He has no ill-will towards anyone. Nor does He have favourites. The grace one gets is the result of one's own feelings. "Bhaavaatheetham Thriguna Rahitham" (The Divine is beyond feelings and attributes). He is "Ekam Sathyam Vimalam Achalam" (the One, Truth, Pure, Immovable). He is "Sarvadhee Saakshibhuutham" (Eternal Witness in all minds). When devotees complain nowadays as to why they are being punished by the Lord in various ways, they do not realize that it is not God who is punishing them. Their own fears and fancies are the cause for their troubles. He alone is a true devotee who recognizes that the sufferings that one undergoes are the consequences of one’s own bad thoughts and actions.

Dos incidentes maravillosos :

*Una vez, cuando Swami fue a la escuela primaria para la distribución de premios, cremas heladas fueron distribuidas a todos los niños pequeños, Swami sonrió y les preguntó, por qué "Dios es como el helado". 
Nadie supo responder, entonces, Swami dijo maravillosamente: "Dios es muy dulce como el helado, Dios también se derrite con mucha facilidad como el helado, y también Dios da una gran alegría mientras comen el helado." Además, cuando los estudiantes abrieron los helados, la Wraper decía  "HELADO alegría". 

*Esto sucedió en 1985, un estudiante pequeño de la escuela primaria en Prashanti Nilayam fue a su director y le pidió que quería ver a Bhagavan, el director, naturalmente, no podía hacer nada y le dijo que podía tener el Darshan sólo los jueves y domingos, cuando los muchachos de la escuela primaria van al Mandir en esos días. 
Ese día fue un lunes, los días de Darshan estaban lejos. El estudiante volvió a clase con lágrimas en los ojos y el corazón compungido. 
De repente, hubo una conmoción en la puerta de la escuela primaria, que siempre está cerrada, el coche de Bhagavan estaba esperando para entrar, el guardia se apresuró a recibir Bhagaván, Swami fue a cada salón de clases y cuando entró en la sala de quinto grado, el llamo al niño que quería a ver a Swami, y le dijo: "Hoy no es jueves ni domingo, pero su corazón estaba abierto y me quería ver, así que vine".

Two wonderful Incidents :

Once When Swami went to the Primary School for the Prize Distribution, Ice Cream was Distributed to all the little Boys, Swami smiled and asked as to why " God is like Ice Cream". Nobody Could answer, Then Swami said wonderfully that " God is very sweet like ice cream, God also Melts very easily like Ice Cream and also God Gives Great Joy like anybody gets while Eating Ice Cream." Further when The students opened the Ice Creams, The Wraper showed "JOY ICE CREAM." 

This happened in 1985 A small Student in the Primary School in Prasanthi Nilayam went to his warden and asked that He wanted to see Bhagawan, The Warden naturally was helpless and said that he could have Darshan only on Thursday and Sunday as the Primary School Boys go to the Mandir only on those , That Day was a Monday so the two days were a long way off. The student went back to class with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart. Suddenly there was a Commotion in the Primary School gate which is always closed, Bhagawan's Car was waiting to come in, The warden rushed to receive Bhagawan,Swami went to each classroom and when he entered the 5th Class Room, the called the Boy who wanted to see Swami," Today is neither Thursday or a Sunday,but your heart was open and wanted to see me so I came"

PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 18 DE AGOSTO 2011

La devoción no exige árduas prácticas espirituales ni rigurosas disciplinas de ningún tipo. No hay necesidad de someterse a intensas penitencias ni Yajnas (sacrificios religiosos). El único medio fácil y seguro para que la gente común realice a Dios, sin que importe su casta, nacionalidad, género ni cualquier otra calificación, es el sentir una genuina devoción y amor por Dios. En donde haya una profunda devoción, habrá un amor intenso. En donde haya amor, habrá Shraddha (seriedad). A través de la seriedad se alcanza el Jnana (saber superior). Este conocimiento le permite a uno practicar la espiritualidad. Las Gopikas (pastoras de vacas) lo ejemplificaron : experimentaron la contínua presencia de Dios tanto dentro como fuera de sí mismas. Mostraron que un tan sublime amor era posible hasta para personas comunes, sin mayor conocimiento de las escrituras o las disciplinas espirituales, y demostraron el inextricable vínculo entre lo Divino y el individuo.

Devotion does not call for arduous spiritual practices or severe disciplines of any kind. There is no need to perform intense penances or Yajnas (religious sacrifices). The only easy and sure means for ordinary people to realize God, without regard to their caste, nationality, gender or any other qualification, is to have intense devotion and love for God. Where there is deep faith, there is intense love. Where there is love, there is Shraddha (earnestness). Through earnestness, the Jnana (higher knowledge) is gained. This knowledge enables one to practice spirituality. The Gopikas (cowherd maidens) exemplified this; they experienced the continuous presence of God within them and outside them. They showed that such sublime love was possible even for ordinary persons with little knowledge of the scriptures or spiritual disciplines and demonstrated the inextricable link between the Divine and the individual.

Bhagavan habla sobre las seis cualidades necesarias para que un devoto sea aceptado por el Señor: 

1. Ser libre de cualquier tipo de deseo o expectativa.

2. Tener pureza interna, ( pureza de palabra, mente y cuerpo), así como limpieza externa.

3. Tener determinación en la realización de acciones  puras, como ayuda al prójimo .

4. Ser libre y no tener apego a nada.

5. Ser libre y despreocupado. Preocuparse por el presente, que es el hijo del pasado y padres del futuro.

6. Renunciar a toda forma de egoísmos.

Bhagawan speaks about the 6 Qualities necessary for a devotee to be dear to the Lord:

1.Be free from any kind of desire or expectation

2.Have internal purity(the purity of the speech, mind and the body) as well as external cleanliness.

3.Have determination in performing actions which are pure, helpful to others, and sublimate man.

4.Have freedom from attachement to anything

5.Have freedom form worry. Concern yourself with the present, which is the child of the past and parent of the future.

6.Renounce egoism in any form.

PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 17 DE AGOSTO 2011

La vida humana está plagada de altibajos, alegrías y pesares. Estas experiencias están destinadas a servirle de hitos indicadores al hombre. La vida sería insípida si no hubiera trabas ni dificultades. Son estas dificultades las que hacen aflorar los valores humano en el hombre. No pueden obtener el jugo de la caña azucarera sin triturarla. No pueden aumentar el brillo de un diamante sin cortarlo en muchas facetas. Uno habrá de desechar su mezquindad y desarrollar magnanimidad mediante el cultivo del amor. Únicamente cuando sufren diversas dificultades, llegan a experimentar la dulce ventura de la Autorrealización. Por ende, han de ser acogidas las dificultades y han de ser superadas. Cuando lleguen a superarlas, podrán estar seguros de experimentar la Divinidad.

Human life is beset with ups and downs, joys and sorrows. These experiences are intended to serve as guideposts for man. Life would be bland if there were no trials and difficulties. It is these difficulties that bring out the human values in man. You cannot get the juice of the sugarcane without crushing it. You cannot enhance the brilliance of a diamond without cutting it and making many facets. One must shed his or her pettiness and develop broad-mindedness by the cultivation of love. Only when you undergo various difficulties, you can experience the sweet bliss of Self-realization. Hence, difficulties must be welcomed and must be overcome. When you overcome the difficulties, you are sure to experience Divinity.

El rostro de Dios:

Un fotógrafo de prensa fue enviado a Ecuador en 1987 a cubrir el terremoto que devastó gran parte del país. En medio del sufrimiento tan catastrófico, fue testigo de una escena de compasión que lo movió profundamente, él escribió una historia sobre ella. 

Este es el relato:

"La fila era larga, pero moviéndose rápidamente, y en esa línea, al final, había una niña de doce años de edad. Esperó pacientemente a que todos los que estaban delante en la larga línea, recibieran un poco de arroz, algo de comida enlatada y un poco fruta. 

Poco a poco, fue llegando su turno, más cerca de la comida que se está distribuyendo.

La joven no se dio cuenta de la creciente desesperación en los rostros de aquellos que repartían los alimentos. La comida se estaba acabando. En cambio, la atención de la joven parecía estar clavada en los tres hijos menores que se encontraban a una distancia, cruzando la calle ".

Por fin dio un paso adelante para obtener su ración de comida. Todo lo que quedó fue un plátano solitario. Rápidamente tomó el don precioso y sonrió con su gratitud. Luego cruzó la calle acercándose a los tres niños pequeños. Pela el plátano con mucho cuidado y lo dividió en tres partes.

Ella coloco una parte de la comida en las manos de cada niño muerto de hambre. Entonces se sentó y con una sonrisa, lamió el interior de la cáscara de plátano. "

"En ese momento", concluyó el fotógrafo, "Juro que vi el rostro de Dios!"

The face of GOD :


A Newspaper photographer was sent to Ecuador in 1987 to cove the earthquake that devastated much of the country. In midst of such catastrophic suffering, he witnessed a scene of compassion that moved him so deeply that he wrote a story about it. Here is his account:

"The line was long but moving briskly and in that line, at the very end, was a young girl about twelve years of age. She waited patiently as all those up front of that long line received a little rice, some canned food and a little fruit. Slowly but surely, she was getting closer to the front of the line, closer to the food that was being distributed.

The young girl did not notice the growing despair on the faces of those distributing the food. The food was running out. Instead, the young girl's attention seemed to be riveted on three younger children who were standing at a distance, across the street."

At long last she stepped forward to get her share of the food. All that was left was a solitary banana. Quitely she took the precious gift and smiled her gratitude. Then she ran across the street to the three younger children. She peeled the banana very carefully and divided it into three equal parts.She placed one part of the food into the hands of each famished child. Then she sat down and with a smile, licked the inside of the banana peel."


"At that moment", the photographer concluded, "I swear I saw the face of GOD!"
