PENSAMIENTO DEL DIA – 2 DE FEBRERO 2012 El servicio a sus semejantes se necesita más que el servicio al Señor. De hecho, servirle a una persona es igual a servirle al Señor Mismo. Esa es la senda de la devoción verdadera. Porque ¿qué mayor medio para complacer a Dios puede haber que el de complacer a Sus hijos? La escritura del Purusha Suktha describe a Dios como teniendo un millar de cabezas, de ojos y de pies. Vale decir que cada ser viviente es Dios. Aunque se hace mención de un millar de cabezas, no hay una mención de un millar de corazones, no existe sino un corazón. La misma sangre circula por todas las cabezas, ojos, pies y miembros. Cuando cuidan del miembro, cuidan del individuo. Cuando sirven a un ser humano, le sirven a Dios. Cuando su meta es la de servir y de adorar a Dios, cada paso les brinda un manantial de alegría y cada momento, cada oportunidad es un valioso regalo para Él. Service to your fellow beings is more needed than service to the Lord. In fact, serving a person is equal to serving the Lord Himself. That is the path of true devotion. For what greater means can there be to please God than that of pleasing His children? The scripture Purusha Suktha describes God as having a thousand heads, eyes and feet. That is to say, every living being is God. Though there is a mention of a thousand heads, there is no mention of a thousand hearts, there is only one heart. The same blood circulates through all the heads, eyes, feet and limbs. When you tend to the limb, you tend to the individual. When you serve a human being, you serve God. When your goal is to serve and adore God, every step will yield you a spring of joy, and every moment, every opportunity is a valuable gift from Him. - Divine Discourse, March 1966. |
